"We have visited Cafe 3692 on 4th of June, taking rather short yet steep hiking trail. The place is cozy, wonderfully situated with a gorgeous mountain view. The food is all organic and local, make sure to try the desserts!"

"Great location/service/food, but unfortunately the room really was not up to standards. We stayed in the Kleiner Bär chalet, and there were no blackout curtains in the bedroom, which really disrupted our sleep. Most of all, despite a minimum temp of 7 degrees outside we could not turn on the heating because our stay was during summer. We were unlucky with the weather which meant se spent more time in the rooms, and it was just really cold inside. We ended up leaving one day early because of that and no discount was offered. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Nearby activities: Playgorund right outside, perfect for toddlers and babies. Food drinks: Offered gluten free options."

"We had a nice stay here. we were able to book connection rooms (the brunette rooms) as we were on the move with our children and it worked great. the rooms were not luxurious, but they were very comfortable and had all the space and conveniences we needed. wengen is beautiful and hotel baren was in a great location on the main street, but very close to for easy access. the eating was extraordinary that we made the mistake not to book half board and eat it there twice, because it was the best in the city. we only speak English and communication with the employees was very easy."

"Dinner menu starts only at 6/7PM and is usually full/reserved, so don't expect to be seated right away. you are warned. Outside seating has great view of the mountains, however it was closed when we got there as it was snowing. i had hausgemache tagessuppe mit Grindelwalder Schüblig-wurst und brot (homemade soup of the day with sausage bread) my friends had the salmon. portions were good for one person."

"As I was the first person to write a TA review of this wonderful bar five years ago, I feel compelled, five years later, to pen an update. I'm happy to say it's even better than I remembered and, since the first time, they now serve panini (not that it could be described as a food bar, thank God). No, it's a proper bar with a good outside space at the back where the bar staff are wonderful and the owner, Alex, is often around to engage with drinkers. We were there during the street festival - every Wednesday in July/August - and despite the rain, Avocado was rocking with a live band, a big crowd and a fantastic atmosphere. It's difficult with bars to put your finger on why exactly they're better than others in the area, but whatever their secret is, they have it. Also there's a good balance between local regulars and visitors - and everyone is given a warm welcome."
