"We had a pretty terrible meal here. The deep fried starters were okay, as was the salad, but anything made ‘fresh’ was a mistake. Bread rolls burnt on top and not cooked in the middle, soup was brown water, Sunday lunch offered a dry crumbly...meat with a mix of completely uncooked veg and total mush that slid through the prongs of the fork. We ordered some side dishes and puddings that never came at all and we had to ask to have them taken off the bill at the end. No one asked if our food was okay, so presumably the staff know it isn’t. It was a special occasion, but they were late showing us to our table and then rushed us at the end of the meal because they had mistimed it for the next booking. I think it would have been hard for them to make it any less ‘special’. The play area is dangerous, with rotten wood and broken play equipment. I can see they’re very busy at the moment, but getting a carpenter in to fix things up needs to be a priority. It’s not safe. It’s such a nice building and location, it was a real shame about the food and the maintenance of the garden. If you visit, stick to drinks and maybe a plate of chips. I don’t understand where the good reviews have come from."

"A really lovely friendly pub. Lady behind the bar was wonderful. Didn’t have any alcohol free lager left but took time to search for some. Had a great coffee as a plan b. Didn’t eat but will revisit for food as it looked great."

"I am guilty of believing that for great Lebanese food you have to go to Edgware Road in London. So I didn 't rush to eat at the Lebanese House, until today. The meal was just perfect. We had Kallaj and Spicy Tabouleh for starters, and Daoud Basha (lamb) served with vermicelli rice, and Special Shish Taouk (chicken) for mains. The meat was succulent, tender and cooked to perfection. Portions were just right. It 's in a pleasant 'piazza ' just off the main pedestrianised shopping steet, and you can also eat out. Will definitely be going back."

"A real shame about the service we waited 45 minutes for 2 starters of fish cakes and chicken skewers didn't get clean cutlery for our mains and nobody asked if we wanted any more drinks the restaurant was not even busy it is a shame as the food we had was very nice but we wouldn't go back due to very poor service the staff seemed to interested in looking at there phones at the bar rather than looking after there guests"
