"I so wanted to give this place 5 stars but we were a little disappointed with the food, especially having seen such great reviews. The place is delightful and the service totally charming. We were there on a Saturday night so it was very noisy, as so many places are, having no soft furnishings. My husband is a tad deaf so this can be a problem for us. We had the a la carte option and I chose the breaded mushroom for the main course, meant to taste like chicken which it really did! Rather bland, overcooked chicken really. But lots of lovely bits and as I said, great ambiance so we'll definitely give it another go."
