Country Cafe - Westlock

I have eaten here many times and ordered takeout as well.Recently had a combo dinner which include ginger beef,chow mein,chicken fried rice and dry ribs.The chow mein consisted of a large pile of stir fry egg noodles with little or no seasoning with only 1 tiny piece of meat in it.the rice I think was steamed then dropped into a pan to make it look like it was fried, again no flavor.Ginger beef I dont believe was homemade,tastes like everywhere else,but it was the first time I couldn't eat it,disgusting.The dry ribs were not bad.And they sell this stuff for about 6 times or more what it costs them to make, And they want you to believe its good chinese food,well not any more I for one will not be back to the PINK HOUSE. Stay home,have a hot dog and ENJOY it. AVOID this place at all costs.

Family of four. Had lunch buffet. Fried rice was good. Amazing wonton soup. Greasy noodles. Cheaper rates for kids. Would go again!

This is our stop for Chinese food,when ever we come to town we come in for lunch or supper.the people have owned it for 2 years now and take pride in their restaurant.They are often thinking up new dishes and had a dish that earned THIRD PLACE in 'Taste of Edmonton ' now that 's a pretty impressive award.it is a clean and friendly place you 'll be welcomed with a smile,seated where ever you wish to be,the Buffet is always the best , it is fresh and hot ,for me the Chicken Skewers are amazing.if you order from the menu your order will be out quickly hot/fast/delicious.Take out orders come out quickly fresh and hot .This is the place you want to go if you want GREAT Chinese food.The owners take a lot of pride in their restaurant and food and it shows in how they treat the customers.so if you are near Westlock stop in here for the best of Chinese food. We have eaten at the Country Cafe and really like the food. We decided another night to preorder and take it out. Often when you do that with Chinese food it is soggy and not too appetizing but not here. The food was wonderful. The lemon chicken was in 2 parts you put the sauce on yourself so the chicken stayed crispy. Delicious. The Wor Won Ton soup is a favorite. When you call to place an order the person taking the call is efficient and so friendly it sounds like she has a smile in her voice. So impressed

Place is nice clean . Food is good especially Wor Wonton Soup.Service is great. Prices are reasonable.
