The diner is a local favorite, at least for breakfast which is when we went. Being from the U.S. it was nice to find a place that reminded me of the small town diners I had eaten in as a child.The food was like you would get from Mom's kitchen and our server treated us like family almost.A very nice place and definitely return again. What Neal Cohen doesn't like about Southside Diner:
Family of 5, food was average, nothing to write home about. Service was fine, not rude as others complain about. Parking was convenient. I had the smoked salmon poached egg dish and felt quite ill later. Everyone else was fine after their dishes so my guess is that it was the fish as I have ruled out other potential variables on the “input” side of the food equation today.
