"Very friendly. Pete and his staff are really welcoming and friendly, would recommend stopping here if you are looking to explore Whitby and the surrounding area, situated about 6 miles from Whitby in Egton village. Food is all home made and uses locally sourced meats and vegetables, nice selection of drinks and a lovely atmosphere with open fire and friendly locals. The accommodation is also Dog friendly too and there is a beer garden at the rear and benches at the front. Would definitely go back here"

"Whenever I dive in Whitby for a day, I always make sure I come to Sanders Yard for some food and drinks. First impressions are always from the local decorations that really create a warm welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a good selection of options for vegans, they even do a vegan dish! Food service is fast and it is also of an exceptional quality."

"Lovely little Inn ,amazing views and very friendly stuff....the breakfast was really rich ...walking distance from all the worth visiting locations in Whitby (Abbey,whalebone arch etc and min walk from the center) only stayed for one night but definitely would recommend for a nice city break"

"Lovely hotel and the rooms were nice and clean the staff were really helpful and friendly , lovely view of the harbour ,very nice breakfast it is very loud the music on sat night as it live band , but we excepted that as its a sat night in town centre bar so if you don’t like loud music it not for you on weekend but didn’t bother us and my little boy slept through it so wasn’t problem for us we be coming back next year we really enjoyed our stay thanks to all the staff there"
