Stopped by the back outside dining area of Chowning's Tavern to grab a bite of lunch. They have a very limited menu set up for quick preparation and turnover. Meal choices of grilled chicken, hot dog or hamburger sandwiches are cooked to order and served with a side of coke slaw and bag of chips. Unfortunately, this was my first food experience in Williamsburg, and I have had many better besides this. The $6 fries had only 21 fries in the order, there was no onion on my burger, no dill pickle spear as advertised and a 2oz cup of coleslaw. I spent $62 and I was still hungry and the food was less than desirable. Go to the bakery or go off site to find spectacular food. This was not good View all feedback.
Love the atmosphere but the food/service was a bit above average. And the price is a bit steep.
When I first came they didn 't have any seats, so I got put on the waiting list with 30 min estimated wait (no reservations can be made). I came back 30 min lat...
