This was our first visit to the tea rooms and it was a lovely experience. When we arrived it was busy and we had the last free table. The menu had a wide range of options from full meals to just cakes. Service was friendly and engaging and the food was delicious. We bought some cakes to take asay and they were superb too. Lovely little cafe, but the service is incredibly slow. It took half an hour just to get coffee and a tea cake. The coffee arrived first and went cold by the time the tea cake arrived, which was also cold. I think they based the place on Acorn Antiques. Mrs Overall could have done a better job. read more.
