We came here expecting to order a Sunday roast. However the pie on the pub menu looked so good that I changed to that. It was exceptionally good! Home made, short crust, totally enclosing tasty steak. Best pub pie I have had in years. My friend had the vegetarian Sunday roast option which was also exceptionally good with great roast potatoes and plenty of veg and extra gravy. I wish I had left room for their puddings... What Archiewetleg doesn't like about The Sun Inn:
Nice local pub but disappointed with our Sunday Roast. We ordered roast beef and roast pork. The pork was thinly sliced and only 2 slices. I’m afraid it looked and tasted a little like a Birds-Eye ready meal although the vegetables were nice, but just a couple of carrots and some cabbage.
