"To visit the cartwheel inn for lunch or dinner is a must, even if they travel from the way. the menu offers something else, all freshly prepared food, with the sweets something special. a pub with beautiful atmosphere, helpful staff and our two dogs were made to feel very welcome. the best eating our stay in the new forest."

"Amazing olde pub had to duck down in some places as the ceilings were so low!! Great food. Great service. Great manager. So happy we found this place, which is not local to us and had a 50mins drive to thank goodness we were not disappointed. Will definitely go back and try and tie in a nice walk before or after."

"Ordered for first time from here, food arrived cold and undercooked. Chicken was pink all the way through. Both meals were disgusting. Phoned the restraint to be told the chicken is cooked and has all been cooked through out the day and he had no other complaints so it was fine and nothing he could do. STAY AWAY from here"

"Went for lunch again. never a bad meal, What pubs used to be family run free house where everyone is treated as a friend, They have got the balance right bewteen being friendly, chatty without being smarmy. The food is excellent cooked by daughter and wife.large tasty portions My favourite is the lemon roulade have it every time The landlord grows much of the vegetables himself Even writing this is making me hungry."

"We stayed here for a night in June with our 2 dogs. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, giving us fresh milk for our room and offering to help with bags. We settled in and came down for drinks in the bar area (they do a fabulous bloody mary), which is cosy and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely. Breakfast was included with our stay and it was fabulous. After breakfast we went for a walk (if you go download footpath on the app store as it is easy to plan a footpath walk), then came back for a delicious Ploughman's before heading off. W e really wish we has booked to stay longer nad wish we had a chance to try dinner. The food all looked wonderful. Thank you so much for our stay and we will be back soon."

"We had just the Christmas meal of our work and it was one of the best for many years. a beautiful Christmas menu, including beer or glass wine and fantastic value. beautifully prepared delicious food and very good service. I think baroushka will now have many more satisfied new customers. thanks for making it a great evening."
