I’m not a fan of zoos in general but this one I love! The enclosures are big, always clean and lots of enrichment for the animals. They all look happy and healthy too. Lots to see, been 3x and always seen different animals depending on the weather, time of year and my observations on the day. My daughter loves it too, makes a great day out. Highly recommend View all feedback.
What scottw269 doesn't like about Marwell Wildlife:
We had a fantastic day at the zoo. The animals were in great shape and behaved better than the staff at the Marwell Hotel. I believe the baboons could run the hotel more effectively. View all feedback.
Disappointing trip. Took my daughter for her 9th birthday having been many times before. Penguins were closed, reptile house still closed, many empty exhibits. Didn't see red pandas, sloth, leopards and many more. I accept that zoo's can't make animals be out, but you do expect to see animals at a zoo. Really expensive for what we saw. Saving grace were the rhinos, tiger and giraffes. On the day we went our children saw kids with face painting and posters for events at the hall. Got to the hall and realised it was a private event for John Lewis partnership day, explains why it was so busy. So more disappointment for the children. The train is also chargeable so ruled that out. I've been to Marwell many times and this was a disappointing trip and I don't think we'll be back any time soon.
Lovely modern zoo with great enclosures and knowledgeable keepers. We liked the tropical house and the Lego dinosaurs best. The kids had maps which were very useful.

Went there about 35 years ago I remember loads and loads of animals loved it, now very dissopointed hardly saw any decent animals, I remember seeing lions, tigers, buffalo, rinos, monkeys, leopard etc, etc. Nothing like it was very dissopointed when there was a cage with animals in trees, bushes and weeds were in the way, loads of empty pens and cages. It was a bit depressing actually as i was really looking forward to the visit needless to say I will not be returning unfortunately.
Fantastic day out. All the staff were really friendly, especially Elenor. The animals look so happy and relaxed. We stayed all day, it was great!
