"Outstanding tasting menu hugely hospitable staff with the proprietor making a point of speaking to each table and making us feel very welcome. Particular highlights were foraged mushrooms with egg yolk and truffle, salt aged duck, and a gingerbread/bee pollen/marigold/sweet cheese mousse dessert. Not cheap, but worth splashing out for a special treat. Food: 5"

"I cannot rate the tapas here highly enough for a large group. I’ve had some bad ones before. Fresh, tasty, colourful and great portions. Service was nicely friendly and prompt. Wish I lived closer so I can come again."

"Our experience here was fantastic. The restaurant dining space is small but perfectly prepared with cosy tables overlooking the road and a serving counter for placing takeaway orders. We dined on a busy Friday night and witnessed lots of happy people coming to collect their food. The popadom sauces were fresh and the starters arrived promptly. Both our starters had great flavour and were hot. Standout service is hard to find, however this lovely restaurant had the right approach to customer service with a regular check-back after each course. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tasty, well prepared meal."

"A must-go place for ice cream with great value and wonderful flavors! Never expect that in a tourist area. I literally went there every other day during my stay. Love its pineapple sorbetto, not a common flavor in ice cream shops, def try that if you’re a pineapple lover! :"

"This review is strictly on the afternoon tea experience only. The food was absolutely wonderful, the lady who served food and the male staff (presumed the owner) were both very kind and friendly. I felt that the afternoon tea was an absolute treat since there was nothing to fault with, that was only until it was ruined by the rude woman who was driving past in black 4x4 (presumed female host). After we finished the afternoon tea, I decided to let my dog out from our car to let him stretch his legs before we set off, the rude woman mentioned above asked me if I was looking for a public footpath so I answered no. She then started to lecture me about the ‘no dog policy’ in the property as well as pointing a direction to the public footpath I did not ask. She drove further towards the car park and parked there, got out of her, and started to tell me off in the most rude way possible again. I explained that we just had an afternoon tea here and we’re about to leave. She then turned around started to take stuff out of her boot mumbling loud “stupid..blah blah” in the angry tone, which by the way was clear for me to hear even though I was at least a few feet away from her. I was so bewildered and frustrated at how this perfectly lovely experience went down the hill like this si quickly. Hence I took two stars off even though I did enjoy the food here. Whoever that woman was, please make sure that they cannot behave that way to a guest."

"Great experience here. The food was 5 out of 5. Different and contemporary food, the meat was tender and juicy, food presentation was worth what I paid for. The choice of sauce was unique yet tasty. Service 5 out of 5. Very attentive and professional servers I was early for my appointment but they accommodate us without much fuss. Atmosphere was nice and airy, they didn't try to squeeze you in so there is plenty of spaces around you which is nice. Online booking is a huge bonus."
