What Bruce W likes about Whiskey Dick's Saloon:
Great place, live music, games, pool, outdoor deck, cool staff, easy to get to right off main road, can't ask for more, except a NY Rangers hockey game! (but that's just VT telecrap companies fault). If you complain about this place, you should probably stay in the big city you live in. It would sure do the staff and other cool, laid back patrons a favor. When the weather is nice you can also eat outside, and there is free WiFi. The rooms on site are accessible, and therefore no problem for clientele with wheelchairs or physical disabilities.

What Laurie D doesn't like about Whiskey Dick's Saloon:
We have been to Whisky Dicks numerous times since my review. Unfortunately the service has just gone beyond downhill. At our last visit we gave cash for the majority of the bill including the tip and the rest was put on my card. I signed the card and marked off no tip. My card was charged an additional $20 anyway for tip! To top it off we were generous with our tip!! Needless to say we won't be back. read more.

If you want to try delightful American menus like burgers or barbecue, Whiskey Dick's Saloon from Winhall is the place to be, They also present delicious South American dishes to you in the menu.

"What a treasure of a restaurant! If you're in the area, book right away!!! You won't want to miss their amazing food. We were greeted by the owner and within a few minutes of sitting down, we were fast friends. Her hubby, the chef, came out and chatted as well. Everything we ordered was outstanding, especially the mango souffle dessert....you've never tasted anything like it. The max stars we can give here is 5, but I'd give it 10!!!!"

"I don't exaggerate by saying that this is my favorite restaurant at all times. There are absolutely no details that will be overlooked during preparation, presentation and service of SoLo's food creations. We have eaten every bite from the house butter and freshly baked rolls to complex entrées and delicious desserts. Where else have you served your carefully selected fresh oysters with a fried onion granite that you could just eat with a spoon? Bacon's wrapped rabbit food served on Celeriac coffee infused logs, accompanied by celery pure clogs was not only one of the most delicate and tasteful dishes, but also looked like an artwork. Her homemade cucumbers Habanero Minze Sorbet seemed designed by someone who exactly the aroma release of each ingredient in a 's mouth....not amazingly short! A dinner at SoLo 's is a must for everyone who can appreciate the state of art food. Bravo!"

"Great food, unique flavorful menu items, not typical run of the mill selection. My daughter had the Filet au Poivre medium, and I had Seared chicken breast. It took a bit of time, however, both dishes came prepared just right, juicy and flavorful. Clearly they were not microwaved and the person cooking them knew what they were doing. As for prices, they are not cheap, but par for the course considering typical higher end resort prices for everything. I can say that food didn't disappoint and the service was spot on."
