"A classic. Truly a grand hotel, an aging beauty. It is very close to wonderful shopping, and front facing rooms overlook the lovely lake. The public rooms are beauriful, the service very good, as one would expect. The fitness center is excellent too. My room...was very well furnished. A great place to stay in Hamburg."

"The Alexandros is a lovely place located just off busy Mönckebergstraße in Hamburg's city center and perfect for a little break during your shopping, sightseeing or working day! The restaurant offers one business lunch per day you could check the menu online or by phone....We've been there for an Afternoon Tea. The place is so lovely and comfy you would like to stay all day it feels like stepping into a living room of a long gone period. The little restaurant has only one room with a handful of tables. It is decorated with a lot of love for detail by its owner, Alexandros. He alone is worth the visit: Born to be a host, always lovely and welcoming, you feel comfortable immediately. You could tell he loves historic tea sets china, silver, you name it, it's there since the food is served on this beautiful tableware. We had Afternoon Tea with Port sandwiches, scones, cookies, tea and of course a glass of port the bottle was left on our table for refill!. When waiting for our order to be prepared, we spent the time looking around. The restaurant used to be a book shop and some furniture and lovely stuff was kept by the owner. So you could read books or check out historic toys etc. There's also a shelf with stuff to buy: Greek Olive Oil, tea, sweets etc. Since Alexandros seems to know all his guests, at some point we were talking all together and had a lovely time. Prices are not cheap but reasonable, food is prepared freshly, the atmosphere is just lovely. We will definitely return very soon"

"It’s very hard to write a review about this restaurant almost as hard as to get a sitting. You are very lucky if you can get-sitting 5-6 month in advance. But it’s well worth it. You start by ringing a door in an old warehouse,...you then are greeted and taken to your place, there is only one table for everyone, but a space between different companies is good enough. Everyone can see the kitchen from the front lines and it is great, but when the dish is delivered you fill a little bit sorry to eat something that took so much effort to create. Sometimes the chef comes and ask how is it going. In the hole everything is magnificent, hard to say anything bad.i would like to specially mention cod which was probably the best ever and great lamb cooking. In the hole everything was great food, wine, service. Even the price is rather reasonable, if you ask me it could be much bigger. Definitely you must visit this great restaurant, especially if you appreciate great cooking. I personally wish that the chef will keep on with the great work."

"The bianc is manageable, about 14 tables cozy and set in a kitchen with a view direction. visually everything was like a small art performance, very exciting. the service was really very attentive and the wine was led was class (roll wine,) despite the many walks exactly what for drink-resistant. tasteful and eating, it was for my partner and me too much different and the walks too wild. we like to eat and cook with heart. this is locally simple to be chosen for the same confused so that our stomachs after eating are satisfied negatiw complaining that the walk menu lasted hours and our sitting meat was served on stubborn (4-5th,) despite note that the menu is not served faster because eating is expensive, we did not want to finish it prematurely. also often cooks freshly and not precooked for hours and days until served. the kitchen itself acts very sterile and not more practical and visually according to their feed (chemical laboratory like). tastefully there were some tasty, but not all of course not every taste of this menu would be more affordable also matched to each other and less courses would be worth another visit accordingly it remains on a one-time visit and only a one-time recommendation. more than 600€ plus tipp for 2 people is a proud price."
