Our go to for Chinese! love the food from here. Never had a bad meal. always very hot and tasty. My son loves to come pickup with me as he gets a lolly every time! so win win for him! View all feedback.

I waited almost 40 minutes at the counter from 6.47pm until 7.25pm for my food. I asked after 30 minutes where it was only to find most of it had sitting on the kitchen hatch shelf for 10 15 minutes! Then when bagging it up, it turns out they hadn't cooked all my order hence my delay. It's all very well apologising but it didn't do me any favours being diabetic, taking my pre medication prior to eating and then havin... View all feedback.

"Lisa and Dave are so inviting that you could easily bask in their cosy, warm and friendly surroundings all day long. They truly create a very special place, somewhere that stays in your mind and sticks to your heart. Their food is fantastic. I find a small savoury selection is a true sign of a confident master chef. The patties are the very best I’ve tasted, the cheesey scone was delicious and the soup was packed with flavour! The cake selection is phenomenal even if you are full, take a mini selection of treats or a slice of cake home otherwise you will regret it! I fondly dream of a pattie, a good ol’mug of tea, whilst soaking up the warmth of love and soft reggae music that exudes from The Loft."

"Passed through on my walk of the Essex Way in the May day bank holiday weekend. The previous 2 pubs I had tried were closed and I was hankering for an evening meal and a rest so I came to the Windmill not realising how fancy it was! Despite that and my less than ideal attire, the waitress was as an an angel to a weary traveller and found me a seat. After a bread basket with a deliciously salty spread, a cauliflower risotto and of course a chilly pint, a man on the edge walked another few miles or so into the night and slept happily in the woods with a smile on his face. I will have to return one day the classiness of the place mixed with its quaint but very highly refined pub vibe is exquisitely peaceful and the food is like dining on dreams. Only giving it 5 stars because 1000 isn't an option."
