We called into the Red Lion for Sunday Lunch, October and we weren’t disappointed. There were of us, had the beef and one had the ham. The beef was cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths. Was expecting quite a lot from the reviews and online pics... Sorry we found the food just average. I had the steak pie, which if I'm honest was not very good, a bit tough and chewy, the beer gravy was pretty nice, but the pasty lid was a soggy limp piece of pastry plonked on top.
