What User doesn't like about Walpa Lobby Bar:
Good place to relax but limited menu and high prices. We had mainly tapas type food and added fries. We had the arrancini balls, and prawns, not a lot of taste. I had the barramundi one night, it was in a beer batter which was very hard and tough not light like it should be. The fish although frozen was good but the batter was awful. View all feedback.
During our stay we are here and took drinks too. This was by far our best experience in the resort. The staff were great and the food we had was promptly served and tasty. We are a burger and Caesar salad while there both were...very generous and tasty. We shared both of them between my husband and I.
Small tapas menu as well as other light meals. It is quite pricey. Staff were friendly and very helpful! Good for a light meal.
This was a really good, reasonably priced dinner option. We couldn't book, so we took the staff's advice and went early, so had no trouble getting a table. The service was good and the food well presented and very tasty. And unlike many bars, it...wasn't noisy!
For a captive market, the lobby bar’s menu isn’t actually too extortionately priced, the service is pretty efficient and the menu is reasonably varied with more than just the obligatory club sandwich! We dined twice there and there was enough to choose from. The beef...burger was incredibly tasty and juicy and the sauce on the grilled swordfish with veg was better than the norm i.e. not just bland ‘bar foody’ flavours. The reality is that it IS just bar food though, and you can’t expect the world, but it did seem a bit odd to us, in such a location, that there was really nothing that was a fun ‘Australian themed’ gimmick dish for the visitors (international and local alike)…. say a burger or steak of buffalo, camel, kangaroo etc etc.
This was a pleasant place for lunch and a drink. The prices were reasonable, the staff pleasant and efficient.
