service is excellent. the menu is limited, at least on the midday, has good choices. the tomato soup of my wife was very tasteful and my burger was perfect with more taste than most places. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Zephyr Cove:
This restaurant is adorable, but I wouldn't recommend it. The food was just okay. The chicken fried steak looked appealing, but it was a disappointment. My first bite was worrisome and it only got worse from there. The chicken was tough and rubbery, with a texture reminiscent of gnawing on chicken wing joints. When I peeled off the breading, the chicken was almost gray. It was so tough, I couldn't even cut through it... View all feedback.
I have nothing positive to say about this restaurant. The signage, entrance, and check-in process are all disorganized. The resort is located on one side of Highway 50, and the campground is on the opposite side. The line of campers for check-in extended onto the highway, and guests are required to walk back and forth across the busy road. The staff, especially Al, seemed indifferent to suggestions and negative feedback. If you enjoy crowded sites with heavy noise from traffic and lots of trees to navigate around your camper, while being in close quarters with your neighbors, then this is the place for you. Zephyr Cove at Lake Tahoe is a stunning and enjoyable place to soak up the sun. It is a relaxing destination to unwind and have a peaceful time. I am grateful for the beautiful surroundings and give high praise to the Great Spirit in the Sky. Whether I win, lose, or draw, I am fully devoted to serving my Father in Heaven. Thank you, Jesus Christ, for life, for everything, and for eternity with God. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5.
We stopped by the bar for a drink, as the restaurant is now only open for breakfast and lunch. We had enjoyed dinner there on past visits and were disappointed to learn they now close at 2:00 p.m. The chef mentioned they are struggling to find enough staff to remain open all day, but hope to expand hours by July.
This restaurant is conveniently situated on Highway 550 right next to the lake. It offers outdoor seating with a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. While not luxurious, the staff is friendly and welcoming and the service is excellent. Prices are average for the Lake Tahoe area. I ordered the Zephyr special, which included three eggs, French toast, sausage, and bacon. The portion size was generous for the price.
