While this restaurant was a longer walk from our hotel than most restaurants on the main road, it was worth it. The food was delicious, along with the bread that was given to us before the main course, which was excellent, and despite our group getting many different meals, we all loved it. The food took a little longer than expected, but it was 100% worth the wait. read more.

In beautiful weather you can even eat and drink in the outdoor area, and there is free WLAN.

What Italo Martino doesn't like about Restaurant WALDHAUS:
we took mixed salad, meat loaf and cordon beef, good the most delicious dish was brot. salad was okay, but both main parts we didn't like at all. pictures and good reviews have tricked us. read more.

Nice food, Great Atmosphere, Steep Walk to it. Pricing is reasonable for Zermatt. Great service. I particularly enjoyed the Alpine style macaroni.

This spot was absolutely amazing and was close walkable from our hotel. Portions and prices seemed a little more reasonable than what you would find in downtown...

"The restaurant has views of the Matterhorn from the window and a small terrace outside. The decor is typically Swiss. In the evenings there is a set 5 course dinner, and everything was absolutely wonderful, even the bread and butter! We were served an Alipine herb soup which was quite wonderful, followed by fish with lentils and spinach which were exceptional for texture and flavor, followed by entrecôte of beef with sous vide potatoes and grilled vegetables, and an absolutely exceptional crepe with local apricots, crispy caramelized pumpkins seeds and pumpkin seed ice-cream for dessert. The service was friendly and excellent. Cost was 62CHF per person which seemed very reasonable given the location and the truly outstanding meal."

"Great location for after ski apres at the end of the day. We waited out the line back to sunnegga with a beer. Plenty of taxis come up to bring you into town. Good live music and plenty of seating even if it’s busy. Great cheese board"

"Generous portions of Wallisser Trockenfleisch and a flavorful Gulasch soup set the tone. The Truffle Fondue was a standout, becoming a new personal favorite. The Pork Cheeks were incredibly tender, a delightful surprise. Desserts like Dark Chocolate Mousse and fresh Panna Cotta rounded off a perfect meal. Highly recommend this restaurant!"

"We made a reservation....but not at this restaurant. Our mistake, but the hostess was totally accommodating, despite the restaurant being quite crowded. I had the Ruccolacreme-Suppe (Arugula Cream Soup) which was very good. My wife tried the Raclette (A traditional Swiss dish described on a Google search as based on heating cheese and scraping off the melted part, then typically served with boiled potatoes. Wasn 't sure what to expect, but it was excellent. For our mains, we had the Fondue Bourguinonne and the Fondue Chinoise (3 different meats-veal, pork and beef). Hard to choose which was better, but both were delicious. They came with 5 different dipping sauces. A very fun dinner!"
