"Closed without telling us. Strongly recommend checking they intend to open directly with restaurant (although judging by the reviews of others who HAVE managed to eat there maybe book somewhere else). No apology when I called, standing outside the restaurant with friends coming over from across London, just some mumbled explanation about staff shortages and Covid meaning they have decided to run reduced hours for a while now and that there is a sign on the door."

"Called here for lunch filling a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Ordered 2 club sandwiches. After waiting half an hour, I checked with one of the waiters if our order had gone through. Sandwiches arrived shortly after lukewarm as though they had been...left unattended- the place wasn’t overly busy and there were several staff. My sandwich contained a fried egg, a small piece of fried breadcrumbed chicken and a small quantity of avocado on 3 huge slices of bread; my husband’s sandwich was similar but without the egg. The cost just for the 2 sandwiches including 12.5% tip was £30+. We travel a lot and have had a few poor experiences as well as many fabulous dining experiences but this was something else! Fortunately we dined in 8 places overall during our stay in London and 6 of the 7 others were good with 3 outstanding experiences. The problem is you can’t tell until you’ve tried sometimes. Enjoy spending our money."

"Wanted to try new place off Sloane sq with local friends.. Enter through Boutique one (nicely presented) When arrived our booking hadn't been registered . We sat outside which looks delightful with lots of tree ferns palms however there isn't a good canopy for inclement weather as awnings aren't deep enough and umbrellas too small.. service was quite inattentive even when we told them not to forget us being outside when ordered they didn't get order correct. It seemed that whenever we looked at kitchen/ service area staff for attention they were talking to each other, even sitting down chatting.. Savoury scones were small dense plus took too long to arrive after drinks (the ones that did come).. Overall if they want to succeed with clientele in that demographic will have to do much better.."
