"Interesting reading people's comments. This is a bit of an odd place to review, but we had a very good meal. A little pricey for the Algarve, but well worth it. We only intended to have a light lunch, but a very nice waitress that spoke excellent English showed us the fresh crab and my friend and i were convinced! What a great decision. It was freshly cooked and dressed to perfection! Far too much and could easily be shared. We took half home, and enjoyed it again. My husband had a huge dish of fresh mussels, washed down with a fresh Vino Verde. Excellant."

"Here, at the big fishing port of Sagres, the fish is so fresh that it almost floats on its teller. most are displayed in the glass cabinet, but there are more in the kitchen. the kitchen is grilled, simple, no sauces: with chips or boiled spuds or...salad wein at the karaffe, beer at the glass. this is sensational eating so easy that they wonder why they did the michelin last time. it's busy: the personal runs, but every last of them is in good humor, they speak several languages, helpful and professional. my oz restaurant and weinkritic friend came with me and was blown away; ditto a French visitor of this week. we do not talk about fine eating or something close: outdoors and in the interior, Formica table, everything fundamental and useful, all makes the trick. the ambiente is the location and the environment: they will have the un food lovers there. drive them to the end of the harbour, and this unpretentious place is a walk up."

"This little place is about half way between Sagres and Cape St Vincente. We walked between these two places and just in time, we came across O Vigia for moral boosting ice creams. On our return we spent a couple of hours down on the beach at Beliche and after clambering up the steps O Vigia was on hand to provide a couple of beers. Prices very reasonable too."

"A very popular restaurant that is away from the beaten stretch. if they have not booked, they expect to delete as despite some tables inside and outside, it is always very busy. between us we had the most amazing tiger prawns and...Grilled squid. both were excellent. we'd go back if we were going to go through more saga."
