"Always good food with a nice presentation. We ate outside on a cozy early summer evening. We started by ordering mussels (not as spicy as shown and very good) and the spinach salad with fried oysters - all excellent. The main courses of pork chop and duck were well prepared. The chard with tiny pieces of bacon with the duck was a nice change. The cherry compote was a bit overwhelming. Tried the Bonarda red wine (usually matured in stainless steel so that it lacked the soft, fruity taste), but returned to a reliable Malbec. Had a server in training that did a good job; Her mentor didn't smile much, which was disappointing. Overall, a pleasant meal."

"We wanted to give this place a shot. We had an itch for seafood. We had excellent service great food. The food was delicious! It was a little pricey but it was worth it in our opinion. We will definitely be going back when we're having that seafood itch again."

"My husband and I love coming to the Capitol grille, our favorite dish we come for is the lamb chops. Additionally, I love the lobster Mac and cheese!!! What we ordered is the lamb chops, lobster Mac and cheese, the corn, mashed potato’s and the Brussels sprouts. We used to come for special occasions but now we’re regulars here and we request Shane every-time we come now. The time previously before this, we had gotten Shane and he catered to everything we needed. He had great conversation and we didn’t feel rushed, he was very patient with us and checked on us frequently. His service is 10/10 and he is very personable, if you want a great server with a great personality and who is very personable, Shane is your guy. He also ensures you have everything you need and he works super fast to get everything to you. Overall, the Capitol grille is just a great place to dine and it’s always a good time and just a very calm ambiance. Everything I’ve tried here is great, no complaints. Of course we will be back. Thank you Shane for all you do!"

"We used valet up front, it was easy. Restaurant presents well, this was my third time eating here in the last couple years. We were greeted for our reservation and seated, party of 3. The appetizers were good, had the shrimp, tomato salad, my Caesar was ok, not enough dressing, but overall it was good. We had three steaks ordered, 2 of the 3 were well undercooked, we had to send them back (first time ever) and that delayed an already long wait time. The third steak was great. They had served up our sides (mushrooms/potatoes) to our main plates so when they took our undercooked steaks and brought back the steaks cooked properly on new plates, we basically lost the sides that were plated for us. They also forgot one scallop order that was paired with one of the steaks. Smaller items that made it less than desirable tonight, were the booth they sat us in was dirty (crumbs we had to brush off) and the menu had stains on the inside, clearly wasn't cleaned well and for the experience and expense of dinner, those small things matter. The secondary staff filling water and removing used items was very prompt and paid attention to detail. I've had two 5 star experiences at this restaurant, so we will definitely visit again, but tonight had enough issues that it warranted a review."
