"Being on Ottawa Street the other day with a friend, we decided to try out Curbside. It was across the street, and the reviews were extremely positive. The service was very strong to the point of the chef coming out and chatting, as well as...serving. She was very proud of her work, and the quality of the ingredients she was working with. The owner who was the primary server, was pleasant and attentive. The food was very tasty. I had the steak sandwich the steak with cooked well, the friend onions on top were a really nice feature. It had a very mild kick to eat. The side caesar salad was good. My friend had the Jacob hamburger with fries. The fries are fresh cut. The burger quality was above the typical. The cheese was excellent and the bacon was crispy. He was extremely please stating this is what a burger should be I don't often order dessert but when I like the rest of my meal, I want to hear what is on offer. Homemade is what I'm looking for. I ordered the carrot cake it was delicious. I like when a restaurant has a signature dessert. It doesn't have to be mind-blowing, but homemade is a good sign. Portion sizes were good, the prices on par with other like establishments."

"Quite simply the very best Filet Mignon I've ever had in the city. It's a smaller place, but the decor and ambiance conspire to make it feel cozy and comfortable. I had heard a lot of good things about Shakespeare's and I can happily/heartily confirm them all."

"We get ciabatta baguettes from here every week. We have to buy 2 because the kids devour almost a full one the minute I bring it home! Trust me it is way better than any baguette you get pre packed at the grocery stores. My husband and I really like the olive bastone as well. Pricey? Maybe a little. Worth it? Every damn time."

"I'd heard that Tung Hing has the best banh mi, a Vietnamese baguette sandwich, in Hamilton. This was far from the best I've had elsewhere, so I certainly hope we've got better in town and I'll keep searching. That said, Tung Hing's vegetable banh mi was a bargain at under $3, A super fresh and perfectly crunchy-outside/soft-inside baguette, filled with mostly a cabbage mixture and barely detectable spice. Even though there was not a lot of anything else - namely shredded carrot, cilantro or tofu - it was still a decent effort."
