"Stopped here for lunch and definitely recommend stopping in Seixal rather than Porto Moniz. Great view from the balcony over the harbour. The food is really good especially the scabbard fish. Its good simple food."

"Went to this restaurant because this seemed to be the only one open in the village. I wanted grilled sea bream but was told they dont have it. Fish restaurant without fish? Mixed salad was some leaves of lettuce, slices of tomato and grated carrot, much overpriced. We ordered scabbard fish with banana but got scabbard fish with limpet rice. The fish and rice were good. Not impressed."

"Average food and service. Across the street from the free volcanic pools. Came here after doing a 4 hour hike so weren't very picky at the time we ate."

"Unfortunately when you go to a place recommended by a tour guide you're given one of the worst tables in the place. There were only four of us who opted for this lunch (a set lunch at a set price), and while the food was...okay (we've had better, ours was standard bus tour fare), we were given an awful table with absolutely no view. The better tables and the patio tables were reserved for independent travellers. The saving grace was that we so enjoyed the company of the other couple we ate with that it really didn't matter but be warned if you're taking a tour guide's recommendation. I'm sure there were much better places to eat."

"Service dreadful,waiter service non existent,one waiter served us drinks said he’d return to take order,never to be seen again,eventually after after a lot lot of use I got various ways to contact a waiter,a grumpy one took our order,(sandwiches)after 20 mins,after going in search of said waiter,he said it would be another 10 mins,we paid for said drinks and left.If we had not been served with the drinks we would have left earlier as lots of other people had done,there that’s off my chest,totally understaffed!"
