"Very nice ambience, tastefully decorated and excellent, polite and well turned out staff. We had afternoon tea which was faultless, a great selection and plenty of fare. If you want to experience afternoon tea as it should be I wouldn't hesitate to visit this bistro restaurant. One thing I did appreciate is that fact that they allow well behaved dogs, they even provide bowls of water for them. Not cheap but worth the experience."

"We saw this restaurant online while visiting Wales and thought we would give it a try, when we got to the shop we were the only ones inside the shop, we was greeted by a young waiter that gave us two types of menus, the shop looked like a school canteen with not a great Vibe no music and a noisy pub next door where they share the space. We was given these two menus one being a Normal menu and the other being a Buffets) if you can call it that, I asked if I can have a normal menu as I didn’t eat much of the food that was offered on the buffet menu and was told no if one person ordered on the buffet menu we both had too, so we paid the 15.50 each for the buffet selection to then be told you chose what you want and they bring it out so wasn’t really a buffet where you can get up and choose what you want or a selection of different foods it was a small variety on offer that they get for you and bring out. We then decided to order some more due to the cost it had already cost us for the little we got to then be told if you don’t eat the food you have to pay £5 per dish you don’t eat I was in shock of the cheek from them to say I have to pay that if we don’t eat the food when they label it a buffet and all you can eat? Nothing saying what ever you don’t eat you must pay £5 per meal wasted, I asked to take a small amount of the food home as we didn’t want to waste the food or pay they silly over price £5 per meal not eaten. We had two lime and lemonade with our dinner one each which somehow cost us £10 just for the two drinks £15.50 each for the fake buffet meal so in total £41 for two people to eat at a shop that wasn’t even a buffet, staff were rude when asked for a pot to take the food home so it wasn’t wasted. Definitely will not be returning to this shop when we come back to Wales in the near future, and definitely would not recommend anyone paying for there fake buffet menu that you have to pay £5 per meal if you can’t eat it all."

"The pub had a great revitation, new owner. decorate them very modern and tasteful but does not fit the old pub. very clean and excellent value for money, that is the room and breakfast for two people. very good price. the room,...very clean, tastefully decorated and very serviceable, but the only element that was missing was a mirror long) in the bedroom. in the bathroom is a mirror above the sink. definitely need two mirrors, especially if there are two in the room. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the pub is the dinner. very disappointing. waited an hour to serve, booked the table in advance for us. menu limited and fussy meals. not cheap. a person ordered a steak medium rare and it was actually rare when it arrived. a bowl of brokkoli and carrots arrived for two men. not enough veg, so asked for another bowl they had no problem bringing us out. not eat much and expensive with cheap quality steaks. my man was very grissley. he only ate it when he was starved from this stage and could not disturb himself. I chose the tikka masala only with rice. I wasn't the half. bad choice. only a small piece of rice came out with a bowl curry. extremely bland and very disappointing. do not definitiw where near a chef standard. another person ordered the duck salad and there was no sauce offered, a dry salate! When he asked to bring out a sauce, there was no problem and a granata sauce was brought out, which satisfied my friend. overall we waited a long time between each cure and it was unacceptable. they also asked for a start, croquettes only five minutes later they will not be told. we asked for a plate of lachsbanden. that came, the salmon was raw and the keks underneath could not be cut with a knife that was sent back and my man did not bother to order a starter after this catastrophe. that was disappointing again when we waited an hour for this stage. total, stay in pub, as the breakfast was fantastic. not complaining. room was really good. do not eat the meal of the evening."

"Note that although listed as a restaurant, Wing 's is a takeaway only. We ordered food on 2 occasions during a stay in Rhayader. Portions and prices are good, but the food is not. The cook seems to be heavy on the soy sauce whether fried rice, chop suey or stir fried noodles. 'Roasted pork in batter ' was chunks of char siu pork in a spongy and oily batter. The 'dry ' stir fried noodles were swimming in sauce. I have had Singaporean noodles many times and it is always rice vermicelli noodles cooked dry with chilli and a little curry powder but at Wing 's it is made with chow mein style egg noodles in a claggy, brown sauce. This is not Singapore noodles! The one thing they got right (according to my Asian wife) was the boiled rice! Avoid!!"
