"I made a booking, but if we didn't get ready. self service order, but at £12-13 a main course, that is a sweat. the workers were quite non-verbal, why they have a job to do with the public if they cannot have a conversation with their customers. was not in a hurry to delete the table. do not understand these other great reviews. many tourist in what are on earth they think when they end here. eating was not terrible, not expected that chocolate fudge cake £6 wasn't even hot. I'm getting anyone who has problems with electricity bills, but come on."

"Would give a review, except we can hear the toilet flushing in room above(in room in The Stables), as well as footsteps above us all night. Family possibly had a child or dog, and we were permanently awake from Raised the issue with staff, but nothing could be done. Despite this, I would return. Staff were good, really friendly and accommodating, location is breathtaking, whisky bar is reasonably priced, and excellent selection…everything about this place is quality, but we will only stay in main hotel, not the stables. They need better sound insulation in the ceiling I don’t want to hear people flushing if I’m in a a night room. You wouldn’t get that in a premier inn. The bed was super hard too, which was a shame. Overall, I would still highly recommend, but the Stables rooms need a few tweaks The food was good, not great, but we were told the main restaurant was closed due to COVID issues, only to notice when we got there that it was open?! Despite all these issues, I’m still impressed by the overall feel, and would still go back."

"Came with a group so we didn't get to pick our rooms. Definitely a dated room and was a little concerned about the cleanliness. Our bathtub drain looked like it was sorely in need of a deep clean and one of the glasses had lipstick on the rim. The beds were comfortable and the room was cozy, but even though we didn't turn the radiator on, water was running through it all night very loudly making it quite difficult to sleep. The staff was very nice and the food was good at both breakfast and dinner. It's also in a very good location."

"Fantastic course superb setting in Grampian Mountains. Very pretty and stunning scenery.Some great holes over hilly terrain. Quite a short course but testing as well for all standard players. Welcoming staff and excellent range of food all day after golf super value too. Definitely coming back for repeat visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"

"This place does pie and chips.... out a choice of maybe 10 pies, 2 were vegan and 1 veggie. Really very good pies! Worth a visit if in the area. Dog friendly too :"

"Outstanding food and outstanding service! From the outside this looks just like any small Scottish country pub. I side is nice, but nothing exceptional. What is exceptional is the food! We went back 3 times in 7 days and it's definitely the best food option within 50 miles! Each time the food was there within 20 minutes of the order and each night the placewas full! The team are all super friendly and efficient! Definitely worth a visit!"

"Wide and varied menu and delighted to have vegan fish and chips made with a new plant based food for me banana blossom. Delicious. My friends had a toasted sandwich and the other mussels and also enjoyed these. Highly recommended"

"Room great but food shockingly bad came last year and was great but this year very poor my starter was under cooked scallops and my plate was just thrown together my main was chicken which was rubbery boiled and then Fried when I put my...fork into it lots of water squired our! Nowhere near as good as last year very poor not even the manager came to speak to me regarding the poor food not a good start to our holiday."
