"Went there for lunch. Ordered a noodle dish and 2 other items. Midway through, my friend was getting more noodles from the plate. There was a big black fly in it. Called the server, pointed at the fly. Server asked if we were still eating it. We said no. He took it away. Did not give us a new dish. Ended up charging us 50% for that dish and full price on the others. Stay away. Much better places around there."

"Never been to a dim sum place like this but will def return. Spectacular food, some very familiar dishes and lots of new ones to try too. Unique decor. Never been to an almost all white dim sum place. Weird at first but it works....Amazing service too."

"You know you can always count on Mui Garden to satisfy your curry craving. Being from Hong Kong and all, home style cooking gives such a personal touch and reminds me of home. Dishes like Minced Pork Chili Beans, Sweet and Sour Pork, and their daily soup tastes super authentic!<br/ <br/ For this visit, I got my two favourite dishes from here: Curry Chicken with Rice and Sweet and Sour Pork. The Curry Chicken order comes with a drink or soup. As it was a cold day, we chose the soup! For those who haven't had Chinese soups before, they tend to be made with bones scraps (Chinese people don't waste anything bones from meats give the soup a great flavour). The soup usually contains some chopped up turnips, carrots, and parsnips as well. It's a light broth unlike cream soups.<br/ <br/ The Curry Chicken is amazing as usual. The chicken is consistently tender with the softest skin that slips right off. The sauce is creamy with just the right amount of spice, mixed with green and red peppers. I absolutely love how every Asian cuisine has their own different type of curry. When it comes to Chinese curry, you'll know to expect a heavy, creamy sauce. A lot of Chinese dishes/sauces are meant to be mixed with plain rice, which explains the strong flavours in most dishes!<br/ <br/ Without a doubt, Mui Garden is my ultimate favourite place to get Sweet and Sour Pork. It's rare to find a restaurant that serves this dish with every piece still crispy! The pork is deep fried, and topped off with a red, sweet, and sour sauce. In the sauce, there's also vegetables like peppers and onions and fruits like pineapple and lychee!"

"I like this place so much better than #9 for late night dinners. It's great place to go if you're out late and night. My favorite dish here is the Portuguese curry rice."

"We arrived after 1:00 PM on this Wednesday afternoon and the restaurant was not too busy.The 2 of us ordered the following 5 dishes:• #6 - Steamed black bean sauce spareribs with squash ($4.95). The ribs were okay; a little darker in colour (darker marinade?) and nothing spectacular. Better elsewhere.• #15 - Shrimp and enoki mushrooms wrapped in bean curd skin ($5.95 for 3 pieces). Taste was okay again just average.• #23 – Bean curd with fish paste stuffed in rice rolls ($6.50) – unusual dish that tasted okay; came with 3 dipping sauces – sweet soy, peanut and hoisin sauce• #44 – Pan fried pot stickers ($5.95 for 4 dumplings) – fair sized dumplings; just okay tasting• #84 – Deep fried squid in spicy salt ($8.80) – small portion for the price; could have been crispier. Came with some deep fried minced garlic and chilli. There is another squid dish #64 “Deep Fried Squid w/Spicy Salted Pepper” for $9.80 – the server told me these were the tentacles whereas the dish I ordered were the body pieces which I prefer. I’ve had a lot better at other restaurants.There was a $1.20 per person tea charge.The total bill before tips was $36.28.Ratings Breakdown:• Price and portion size – value could be better. Quite a few of the dumplings were in the $4.95-$5.95 range. 3 out of 5 rating.• Quality – average. 3 out of 5 rating.• Taste – inconsistent. 3 out of 5• Service – could be better. Dishes arrived within an acceptable time limit. I asked for chilli sauce twice and I never did get it. 2.75 out of 5The overall experience rates a 3 out of 5 – just barely average.Notes & Tips• This restaurant is located on the second floor of the Garden City Shopping Centre (corner of Garden City and Blundell Road)• Credit cards accepted• No pushcarts. Checklist menu• Elevator access from ground floor around the corner to the right• Wheelchair accessible washroom• Reasonably clean washrooms for a Chinese restaurant• Plenty of outdoor parking"

"This restaurant has a very attractive dining area and an open kitchen. It was interesting to see the food preparation area. The food was good. We ordered vegetable dumplings, chive pancake and the vegetarian spring roll. My only problem was not knowing about the serving size. Some items were huge servings, and others were small. Maybe it said on the menu, but I didn't see it. I guess you could tell from the price, too. Service and food was good."
