"This Restaurant is situated a bit before Mahabalipuram as you drive from Chennai. I have visited the Original Rahmath Border Parotta and that was an absolutely amazing experience. But this namesake restaurant did not live up to even the most basic expectations. The mutton biryani...was quite nice but there was only one small piece of mutton in it which made us wonder whether Khuska (plain biryani) had been brought by mistake. The veechu parotta cost 90 Rs and we had to use two hands to pull it apart, it was so rubbery. The plain parotta was just normal, nothing special about it. The naattu kozhi chicken gravy consisted of a little gravy and one big piece of chicken which was so hard that it was impossible to tear it with our hands. The mutton gravy was quite nice. The service was pathetic and though we made several requests for some glasses to pour our Pepsi, it was not fulfilled. Overall I will say it was quite a disappointing expereince, I will suggest that you can give this restaurant one try if you happen to visit Mahabalipuram."

"Avis uniquement un soir avec buffet. Pas certain que le jugement soit le même un autre soir. Donc, avis plutôt très positif, buffet très varié, choix suffisant de plats indiens excellents et pas trop épicés, quelques desserts et fruits. Pas fabuleux mais bien, tarif raisonnable. Personnel affable et efficace. Salle de restaurant pas très chaleureuse mais ouverte sur l'extérieur, ça compense."

"Went there for lunch. I was the only customer. I ordered grilled fish and soda water. First came lemon soda and then a very small fish for 300 Rs with a small portion of fries. I was still hungry at the end.I sat at the rooftop corner to enjoy the views and the waiter came and started to chat. I made him clear I was in no mood for smalltalk and just wanted to be alone but he stayed in front of me for the whole meal.And the only active mosquito I ever saw at noon was in that place.There are numerous better places in town, especially near the bank."

"The overall quality of food we had was ok...good. The prawns in corriander and garlicbutter sauce were well done. But the fish was not upto the mark, it hadn't been cleaned properly at all. The soup was ok. We weren't tempted to try anything more. But it was ok for the prices they charge. Resaonably good."

"During our tiring hot day touring in Mahabalipuram, we visited this motel on ECR Highway, in search of decent place for lunch, and we were fully satisfied. The sitting chairs and tables as well as interior ambience are all very simple but we found excellent...food quality. Initially the steward hesitated to offer us a simple plain Dosa, and asked us to choose from a list of fancy high priced varieties in the menu, but finally they served what we needed. Outside ambience and location are good."
