"This is a gastro type pub that you could so easily walk past. Don 't! Run by a family with a clear desire to deliver 'English food with a twist ' (their words), it 's a clean, modern, semi-rustic place but not done in the large square open space style that some conversions have carried out. Cosy, relaxed feel with exceptionally good, friendly service. The menu offers a good range of dishes and a really good range of starter/sharer/taster dishes with a small range of desserts. A young head chef delivers really good food and the mussels are exceptionally good. All sauces and drizzles tried were wonderfully smooth and full of balanced flavour to match the dish. Any downs? Well, just two. The crab fish cakes could easily have had more flavour and the non-alcoholic beer range needs to be extended beyond the one choice. Don 't walk or drive past, give it a try!"

"Visited recently. Nice little cafe which seems popular. Coffee is average though served in very small cups. Poor value for the price charged. I asked for a larger cup! My question is why does it take so long to warm up a scone?! Must have waited for about 20 minutes with no apology. Partner was not given his cake either until asked. When both arrived coffees were cold. Partner did receive another espresso when asked though!"

"Attended the flyer for the first time as heard they had a quiz every Monday, it did not disappoint! The quiz man was jokes and the anagram round at the end was a nice addition would recommend"

"Amazing little bakery and tea room! As a coeliac I struggle to find a good range of gluten free cakes, this bakery delivered! They offer atleast 4/5 gluten free cakes, I was spoilt for choice. The seating area is small but cosy, it was such a nice atmosphere and everyone who worked there were so nice and chatty. I chose the carrot and courgette cake and wow it was insane, could not tell it was GF. To my surprise they also offer afternoon tea that are gluten free as well (All cakes in pics are labelled glutenless) Highly recommend!!"
