"Has the chef changed? Portion sizes were pitiful. I am a tiny size 6 woman, and I left hungry even after having to have pudding. The beef was really lovely quality for the Sunday roast, yorkies were great, everything was cooked perfectly, there just wasn’t enough of it. Half a parsnip, some green beans, and some puréed carrot. The cauliflower cheese was served in a tiny little oven dish, one between two. It used to be one each. We had one spoonful of cauliflower each. The Sunday menu was two different beef options (one portion was £30! , a vegetarian pie (which was described as a Wellington, it was not a Wellington , or pork, or fish."

"Good pleasant dog friendly cafe on the water’s edge. We came for afternoon coffees. They were of good strength and came with a biscoff biscuit. Downsides are the toilets (cold, outdated and dirty) and quality of the staff (slow making drinks and two tables remained uncleared yet the staff weren’t busy we were the only people in the cafe so it was strange to see tables left uncleared). I’d recommend it as a place to come, and it was great to see the water sport activities you could do from the cafe."
