"What a great Hotel, first impressions when you enter this fantastic building is a very underwhelming bar, but don't stop there, venture through the building to the beer garden and surrounding gardens to find secluded picturesque spaces to indulge in some of the finest craft beers on tap. In summer this is definitely the place to go to to listen Blues and hang out with the most hipster of Bendigonians."

"Wasn't blown away. Went for Valentine's day. The atmosphere I expect to what was received was defiantly different. We were squeezed in pretty close to another couple on one long table with the only thing separating us being a wine bucket. The duck breast was nice. But the crab not so much. The desert was nice. But a bit small. My 2 cents"

"Well this was a FIND! Travelling through Victoria we need a solid breakfast and these guys delivered. The house made granola with awesome mango panacotta (brave move which paid off! landed right over the black dot! And our friendly waitperson happily obliged my unconventional request of a poached egg on the side! (A world first: Granola egg accompaniment. Coffee was great (long black and the sunny outdoor lounge chairs were a perfect perch to enjoy an amazing taste of Bendigo. Ace. Well done to both Percys."

"I had laryngitis last Sunday and the delish pumpkin soup has cured me! also had a nice latte ' and mama had a delicious brunch with, in their words the 'best tee ', if they were looking for a good caffe with complex and comforting aromen, this is the place to go! Moreover, the staff was very nice and helpful – especially if I had no vote!"

"Great central location and friendly staff but the pizza and pasts were below par for a restaurant of this type. Too many dishes are on the menu. They should reduce the choice and lift the quality. A bit disappointing."

"I had been looking forward to trying the Belmont as I'd heard some great things. A group of us made a booking for a Saturday night, which seemed to be a busy night. When we arrived the menu was not yet available, it was still being printed off by the owner. Apparently there is a new menu every day. After receiving the menu, we asked the staff a few questions and they had no idea, the only person who could tell us anything was the owner. One member of our group required a gluten free meal, the owner actually made us feel like this was a real inconvenience. There were limited options for someone unable to eat gluten, in the end she had the pulled pork burger without the bread roll, even then we still weren't convinced it was gluten free. I might also add that the owner emphasised several times that usually they would not make adjustments to a menu item, but on this occasion he would make an exception. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals and the servings were extremely generous. But the fact that they weren't real accommodating of someone who needed a gluten free meal put a dampener on the evening."

"A couple of years ago I moved to Bendigo and my dreams came true... it's a city of vibrant cafes, interesting places to visit and events. I have since had to move on due to employment changes, but I recall those 7 months I lived there with such fondness as I explored everything the city had on offer. I had stopped here for coffee on my way to work a few times when I lived there, the customer service was always exemplary. Recently I visited Bendigo and caught up with a friend for lunch... I suggested this cafe- she had never, as a local, been to it AND that is a bit of a travesty. But now... she would return. We both found the customer service to be outstanding which has been the norm for this business), the waiter who was utterly brilliant talked us through our choices... She was way more adventurous with her choices than I was. Located in Chancery Lane this business is something quite special. ღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღ"

"Very very good. Nice building, tasty food and not expensive. Plus they are open on Mondays unlike most other restaurants around the place all closed until Tues or Wednesday. That's no way to run a business. Definitely we will be back."
