"My husband and I visited BotaniCa last night, also using our Living Social coupon. We both had the squash soup accompanied with warm rolls with butter. I had the chicken schnitzel and my husband had the brisket. Our entrees and meals were amazing! The flavours, the textures and the plating presentation were excellent. These portions are very, very generous and we couldn't finish our meals. Alicia was our server and we found her attentive and engaging. Our chef (sorry I've forgotten her name) came out to meet us and ensure that our meals were satisfactory. My husband and I were very impressed with our meals and the BotaniCa staff. We will certainly be putting this restaurant on our list to return to."

"Tldr: I ordered #321 Rare beef and beef ball pho and shared Vietnamese Style pork and shrimp salad rolls. 100% would get the salad rolls again, tasted super good. Pho was also good, as I expected no less from Pho Dau Bo! Would recommend for quick and authentic Pho. I didn't realize I hadn't had pho for almost a year until I've decided to visit Pho Dau Bo today. I was extremely excited as I have previously (pre-pandemic) been here before and really enjoyed my food along with how fast the food arrived to our table. When it comes to Pho restaurants and their appetizers, it's really hard to know what to order. My friends have already tried some and said we should share the vietnamese style pork&shrimp salad rolls. THEY WERE AMAZING. Peanut sauce perfeclty complimented the rolls wrapped with rice papers, shrimp did not taste fishy at all along with lots of veggies. As for pho, I ordered the rare beef and beef ball pho. The broth was amazing, noodles were also great. One comment to add though is the beef was not as soft as I expected. Other than that minor issue, we had a wonderful (and quick) time at the restaurant. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for cheap and fast pho!"

"After hearing about this place from our daughter, we checked it out last year for our birthdays and have been there numerous times since, the most recent being this weekend. They have recently done a really nice reno inside the store which looks great however it seems most people don't eat in, a lot of people have take out. Any time I have been there, they are super busy. Every time I go, I order the rib platter (full one on purpose so I have enough to take home). I am a rib snob so I have pretty high expectations for them. These ribs are delicious and so tender, they fall off the bone, you don't have to gnaw endlessly on a bone. The side dishes you get with them is a ton of food as well. My husband always has something different; meat platter or fish, everything item has huge portions and is a good value for your money.There aren't a lot of beer selections but enough and they have some really good ones from grand river brewery, my favourite being the tailgate. They also have pop shoppe Pop, anyone from the 60's and 70's remembers this treat. The staff there are always fantastic. Customers order at the counter and then the food is brought to your table or given to you for takeout. They explain in detail how to select items for newcomers. Every time we have gone, the staff is so friendly and attentive and have checked on us numerous times throughout our meal to make sure everything is good. This has quickly become one of our favourite places to go."

"Went there for supper and was very disappointed. My Father in law told us how great it was, the amazing food etc.. So I ordered the chicken souvlaki, my husband had the chicken/gravy on toast and my FIL had pork souvlaki. The rice tasted like basmati seasoned with lemon juice, the chicken was flavourless except the char taste, the tzatziki sauce was cucumber flavoured sour cream. I literally ate 1 bite of chicken and 1 bite of rice, and the fries and salad. It was the most disgusting flavoured souvlaki I have ever had. I tasted my husbands chicken/gravy and it was good. The chicken was so tender it dissolved before you had to chew. My FIL loved his pork souvlaki though, so maybe it was just the chicken was not done well, in addition to the rice and sauce? Either way, I cannot see myself going again even if it was free."
