"I checked this restaurant two years ago and pleased that it met my expectations again. Earlier in the week I noticed their street signs advertisement an Easter Turkey dinner for $25. I called on Sunday at 12 noon, not sure when they would be opened due to opening hours. No voicemail, so I was surprised when the owner/manager? called me back. He came early and saw my phone number on the display. We chat and he said the easiest method to preorder my dinner was online. Super easy to do. Great website programming! I ordered the turkey dinner for 5 p.m. pickup. I received two emails with a pending confirmation and later when the restaurant opened a final confirmation. Remember to take your phone with you when you order pickup as you need to call the restaurant when you arrive. The dinner was nicely packed and the engraving was ordered in a separate container. I reheated some dinner in a skill for low heat. There were many homemade stews with sausage and bacon, from scratchy potatoes, cut carrots and broccoli el dente, cranberry sauce, and cut turkeys. I wish there were some turkey pieces for the simple reason that I had more than enough filling and potatoes for another meal. I have to say the turkey was so tasteful and tender. Cut out with a fork! Really, the whole meal was delicious. My other criticism and it is inferior. Since the meal was a tad expensive, there was a piece of homemade cake to complete the meal. Then I would have given the restaurant a rating of 5 for food and value. I have taken a commitment for the month of April to support local restaurants to help during the latest nationwide lockdown. Besides, I'm sorry to cook boring meals for me. I will be sure to return until the end of the month, as I know that their Hunter carvings and pizzas are excellent."

"Quite a few hidden charges with delivery. Over two hours to arrive. Cold, slimy and unappetizing. We ate very little of our order and threw the rest out. Would not order again."

"Just had dinner,great food and prices. I had Reuben sandwich and fries,($9.95 with a side)smoked meat the best this side of Montreal! Grey poupon mustard was a bonus.My daughter had haddock and Caesar salad $(9.95 or 2 pieces for $13.95)and fish was breaded with scrunched up kettle chips and coleslaw home made...to die for.All the food choices reminded me of when I was a kid and mothers actually cooked our meals! We shared a home made coconut cream pie that was quit large and delicious.It was $4.95 but would have cost $10.00 at the upscale dessert places. It was to die for. The service was very good,prepared by the owner and he was very friendly.Wide variety on menu and noted people were coming in for takeout. The also have a Sunday brunch menu and a friend has also recommeded we try that.Will be returning for sure,not a restaurant if watching your diet but good for a treat if you are. Try it and you will love it! I don't believe they serve alcohol,we has soda."

"Semi warm latte, the Blueberry scone just tasted like Blueberry dough. Very weird service, I didn't appreciate being prompted for a tip before I received my food or being served. My friend and I dropped off our coats at a table before going to the counter to order when a server informed us that the two ladies in front of us were going to sit at that table. Apparently, after we order the server would tell us where to sit. So weird. We did not get a good vibe. I remember this place being better."

"Great bar for traditional English fair. Had their poutine and wings. Wings were amazing, the poutine was a little too salty. They did not need the sea salt with how amazing their gravy is. Everything was fast and the waitress was very helpful with answering all of our questions. I will be coming back again!"
