"We order takeout from here regularly and are a big fan of many of their cakes. We’ve also dined in here as well for both their food and desserts. Best cakes in the city for sure! My personal favourite is the Tia Maria, but they have a ton of great options."

"We arrived on a Friday morning. Every table was either in use or dirty. One whole section on the restaurant was closed. The service was friendly, food served quickly and coffee refills consistant. Breakfast itself was just under $6 for 2 eggs, bacob, back bacon or sausage and pancakes or toast and hashbrowns. Neither of our eggs were cooked quite right and very brown. The shredded hashbrowns were almost burnt in some areas and under cooked in others. Toast was very well done. Well priced, however, we will head back to Smitty's next time."

"The service here is just ok. The gluten free menu is full of gluten and the food is overpriced for the quality. The Home made hard lemonade is very watered down with very little lemon flavour. The only reason I will ever go back is the gluten free cheese cake"

"This was our first meal in Winnipeg and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located in the Forks Market, which has lots of interesting eateries--some of which look delicious--but Sydney's is the only real fine dining establishment in the market. We shared some delicious New Brunswick oysters served with a delicious, tangy relish: they were super fresh and delicious. We had an appetizer of octopus and greens: very delicious. The other appetizer was a kale salad with sweet nuggets that didn't come off so well: the blend of sweet with the salad didn't work so well. The main course was a 7 ounce New York steak, which was perfectly cooked and succulent. Dessert was a crème brûlée, which was delightful. The waiter was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with respect to my gluten allergy."

"Dined with family. In the past we've tended to shy away from Inferno's restaurants as we always left Inferno's Bistro disappointed. Inferno's on Academy was good.We had to crab cakes to start. Very good and nice presentation. The dish comes with a nice mango salsa. It took a while for the dish to be served though. The restaurant was not full so it should have been out sooner.Next had the soup of the day which was a barley mushroom soup. It was an awesome soup. Tons of flavor and loaded with mushrooms and barley.For mains we had the stuffed chicken breast and the mussels with green curry. The chicken was cooked nice. Plating was nice as well. Portion size was reasonable. The mussels were good and big. The green curry broth was good and with a bit of heat thanks to some hot peppers. Service was hit and miss. At times water was topped up promptly and at other times drinks were empty with no request as to whether I would like a refill.A nice dinner out. We will visit Inferno's on Academy again."
