"Lovely relaxed restaurant with great good and service. Had four courses and everything was sized just right to enjoy it without being overly full. Certainly not the cheapest restaurant but the quality was fantastic, and value off the scale. I will absolutely be back."

"After we were seated we were given a list of ingredients and dishes unavailable, ordered 3 pasta dishes which were all pretty inedible and mine had spinach in which was on the list of unavailable items, making me think it was a microwaved frozen meal. Staff were friendly but said if we signed up to their loyalty scheme we would get a free garlic bread, so we did that and told them we had, no free garlic bread arrived and the food was so awful we left quite a bit then went somewhere else! Huge mistake to go there. When I was younger it was good."

"I can't speak for the food because, frankly, we couldn't wait long enough to order (our toddler was getting too cranky). And for the first time, we left before ordering everything (not one to normally judge a book by its cover). Having called ahead to book a table for two with a high chair. When we arrived (two hours later than when I called) they didn't have a table ready and handed us a pop up high chair that they couldn't put up. I nipped to the toilet to find a store room at the back of the restaurant with everything strewn everywhere, the toilet wouldn't be out of place in a run down weatherspoons, and there were just random bottles of cleaning spray dotted around the restaurant like someone had gotten half way through cleaning. We asked the table next to us who had been in the restaurant for 20 mins and hadn't managed to place their order yet. With a crank toddler we made the decision to scarper. Photos attached."

"Superb! So many lovely dishes on the menu that we had to come back the following night so that we could try more. Nothing disappointed. Food was excellent and so was the service. If you have never had tapas before, order a few dishes, eat them and then order more. The staff are happy for you to do this and makes the meal more enjoyable. Spend as long as you want and savour the food. Try a sherry flight, excellent value for money, goes well with tapas."

"We came to sit outside always a good spot for a drink before a meal but it was too windy. Sat inside instead noisy locals all talking at once! Ordered food and move to table noise level was fine there! C 'est la vie. Always liked the ambience in the pub. Had three starters all of which were very good 2 from the specials board. For mains we chose two smoked brisket burger, a fish pie and salmon. The brisket burgers were poor having been sat around and reheated leaving the burger part shrunken and dry while the smoked brisket element was definitely smoky but again it was very dry and unappetising. Accompanied by a few chips, a couple of onion rings and a bun, at £15 this was poor value for money; an option from the specials board should be 'signature dish ' quality this was not. The other two mains were enjoyed. Shame that this experience tends to lead me to query the quality of the other Provinance Inns. Excellent service from all of the staff."
