"One doesn't tend to choose a cafe/restaurant in Cite Europ for a gastronomic experience and if one bears that in mind Le Comptoir is a fairly reasonable choice for a refreshment stop mid shopping or enroute to or from the tunnel, The menu is fairly...predictable burgers, omlettes etc.. plus a few more substantial dishes and the eating area is pleasantly bistro like with subdued lighting and a generally cosy but buzzy atmosphere. To my mind the flamkuchen was a bit on the dry and tough side but my partner,s croque madam was absolutely fine. Service was a little on the slow side which could be an issue if pressed for time. As we weren't it didn't particularly matter and we enjoyed a pleasant enough lunch albeit not outstanding."

"Have been to Cité Europe many times and tried all the restaurants. This one is the best. Last visit was Saturday. I had the Flank Steak again and asked for 'medium ' as 'Rare ' in France is really rare and can be chewy. The steak was...super! The chips could have been hotter but it came with a lovely salad and was a good meal. The only sauce option is onion no peppercorn or Diane which I would have preferred. Service was good but not overly quick that 's fine as long as you are not rushing for a train. Beers are great but most are high in alcohol so not good if you are driving. I had one the weakest, 'La Blanche ', which was 4.7% I think. A cloudy, blonde beer which was very nice indeed. All in all, a very nice restaurant, good value €20 for a meal and a beer) and I will go there on my next trip."

"Needed to make sure the kids were eating while we queued for the tunnel! Good updated ordering service on screen. Food quickly arrived and staff clearly used to tourists like us! Typical McDonald's fare...You know what you're getting."

"Having arrived at Cite Europe shortly after opening, our dining choices were limited. Le Provencal seemed to be open and the hostess was busy setting tables, as we walked by she said bonjour. We decided to give it a try. The breakfast menu is simple but worked for us. We had the croque-monsieur, croque-madame and a typical fry up style breakfast. Everything arrived fairly quickly and was piping hot. While the food was basic it definitely tasted better than if eating the same in the UK. While eating we were given complimentary orange juice which was a nice touch. 3 breakfasts and 3 hot drinks came to about € 25 or roughly converted to £21. To us this seemed reasonable especially for the service we received. Also a lot of the menu was already translated to English if that isa factor for you. For a decent no frills breakfast I'd recommend trying Le Provencal."
