"This was perhaps the worst dinner experiences ever in Washington DC. We travel to DC monthly from NJ where we also frequently dine in Italian cuisine restaurants. The service was slow for a half filled dining room. While the server was pleasant we waited forever to be asked for cocktail order. We noticed immediately that $24 glasses of wine were sparsely poured. Our dinner order was the real disaster however. The salad was over salted and the sardine appetizer was one small fish for $14. The pasta course was bland and when we requested bread we’re told that they were out of bread. The brocolini and squash sides were cold and the Arctic Char entrees barely five small bites. Truly a disappointment. The lady at the desk asked dinner was and I shared our experience. She asked for my email and this has now been a week ago so I must assume that management does not care to contact. An attractive restaurant in a great location. Too bad about the food."

"All vegan options with deli-style ordering. We tried the jackfruit Philly cheesesteak and the beet burger and both were soooo good! The bread was fresh and soft, and this was the closest imitation to a Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The beet burger was moist and delicious with a cabbage slaw on top. There are a million other things I would try on this menu! ETOP: went back twice since and tried the meatball sub, chickn parm, and potato skins (all excellent). The chickn club was so-so, as was the fritter sandwich. Casual café by day turns into full-on restaurant and vegan bar at night. Updated from previous review on 2022-08-21"

"This was a very nice Italian restaurant. The ambiance is beaufiful. The main dining room was very comfortable and had modern furnishings. The service could have been better. Our server forgot to bring drinks, never refilled waters and ice teas, and was slow to take our order. The food was very good. I started with a Ceasar salad. It had a bit too much dressing. The eggplant parmesean was outstanding. It was served piping hot in it's own dish. This was a nice special occasion restaurant."

"We went to dinner after a nice experience 3 years ago. the atmosphere and the service are great, although I wish they would play better music. the disappointing part was eating. the Burrata remover was the star of the meal. the fried artichoke was interesting with a beautiful sauce. the great attraction for us was the homemade pasta. unfortunately it was nothing special. the tagiolini tartufo (trüffelpasta was very bland and needed to season. the seafood tagiolini (pescadera? was better, but we had better. I was disappointed by the food, but the service was very good and the food came out quickly. Drinks and apps would make fun, but we will not be dinner again."
