"I live local and just found this place come up as an indian resto. On entry was told bar was unavailable, no staff. The food menu was limited , the food on arrival was poor to average , notbing fresh , rice reheated, chapati heated and crusty. The price for 2 people was £50, utter rip off for the money.A glass of coke was £4 , again nlt fresh coke , straight out of already opened bottle. All in all a truly dissapointing experience. Avoid."

"Having a weekend break in Bristol and what a find this was. A great concept fine dining served in a casual chilled environment with great friendly service. I can’t eat certain foods. As.soon as mentioned it was taken seriously to extent that the chef marked on a menu every item I could safely eat as was , what I couldn’t, and which courses could be adapted for me. That was great service. My partner and both had roasts dinner. One lamb. One beef. The meats , plated with roast potatoes , sauce gravy and for the beef a Yorkshire pudding, were excellent as were the very generous portions of vegetables that were served alongside courgettes leeks carrots and cauliflower cheese). All veg was cooked as should be not over boiled etc. A slight criticism the sauce with the lamb was quite greasy glutenous. If came again I’d ask for it to be served separately and take less of it. For pudding we had a banana tart served thin and crispy with pistachio ice cream and a panacotta with rhubarb chunks. Both fabulous. At £25 for two courses it was exceptional value and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend."

"Can't get Willy Wickets on the phone so my booking through Open Table, we were greeted upon arrival and shown on our table, which unfortunately had uncomfortable seats. We asked if we could sit on another table, which they fortunately agreed to. We shared a starter of mushrooms that were beautiful so that next time I will not share, we both chose the seafood linguine that was fantastic. To dessert. Personal top class service top class"

"This was my second time eating here. The choice of dishes was very good because there are some unusual dishes which are not the same as standard tapas places. Presentation was lovely, and there were several vegetarian options as well as quail for those who like game. The restaurant has been innovative, in having a different country for a theme week, and this week being the week of the Olympics, the country theme was Brazil. They had a wonderful coconut pudding for dessert as well as crepe suzette. I especially recommend the prawns, the scallops dish, the aubergines, the artichoke dish and paella. The main let-down of the place, was the poor organisation, however this happens so often at so many other places, due to the poor training of staff. The waitress got our order wrong, then when she realised, we waited for over an hour for all of our meal to arrive, while we sat watching everyone else who arrived after us, getting their meal before us. To give her credit, she was apologetic and took off some of the cost of our drinks from the bill. The staff were not apathetic to their duties, but I think they were just overwhelmed, with a full restaurant. Note to the manager/owner: get some professional help initially, to improve organisation and communication with the kitchen, and put on at least one extra waitress for Saturday night and when fully booked. The restaurant is quite small, so booking is essential. Well worth a visit if you can be prepared for a few glitches."
