"Really nice pub in a picturesque village. It is very ‘Ladies, the Lunch’, but they have featured vegan options on the menu and you can get a soy latte. We were at the hotel above what is very nice (and really good as cheaper than the Premier Inn). The Vegan breakfast included muesli with soy milk, toast and jam, and a cooked breakfast with hash brew, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans, as well as coffee and tea. All included in the room rate. Would stay again!"

"Nice, welcoming cafe on the A49 at Beeston. Ideal for passing cyclists, motorcyclists or motorists. Great to use as a starting/ finishing point for walks along the canal, up to the castle or onto the Sandstone Trail. Seating indoors or outside on a large deck overlooking the canal and surrounding countryside. Gorgeous today in the sunshine. Cakes, scones, sandwiches, and ice cream or a variety of light meals available. Most of our walking group usually opt for scrambled eggs with cherry tomatoes and smoked salmon or poached eggs with spinach and hollandaise sauce, both served with toast, always a generous serving and always delicious. Definitely good value for money. Service can be a bit slow at busy times but it's worth it for the welcome and quality of refreshments."

"Large coffee with milk milk option and really delicious cake (all vegan). also sell vegan energy bars, eis and sorbet. outside tables with wonderful view. the staff is very friendly and helpful. also a bicycle store, so that they repair bicycles and sell spare inner pipes etc."

"5/5 This Victorian school has been sympathetically converted into a very comfortable pub/restaurant. The open fire was very welcoming on a cold day and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. This is the place to be if you like gin! The menu included the usual standards as well as an interesting range of game dishes and a nod towards Burns Night. My bedroom in the charming Headmaster’s House, was small but cosy and very quiet. No television which didn’t bother me but might be an issue for some."
