"Very friendly service and accommodating staff. Was a nice meal, not the best pizza ive had but pretty good. Kids meals were specially made pretty much off menu and the atmosphere was nice with optional open air or aircon rooms. Happy to eat here again."

"We had the pleasure of dining here at the Anchor Bar restaurant recently on our Airlie Beach holiday and we can only say what a relaxing and delightful experience. A beautifully arranged area for diners with an awesome view and easy access. The burger was beautifully prepared and the chips were cooked perfectly. The Ribs were just a treat and the smokiness was nothing short of impeccable. The bar area is well situated and is suitably stocked with a myriad of resplendent beverages. The atmosphere, along with the subtle sounds of the contemporary music that was played at just the right listening level, was so accommodating. A dining delight - and a must do for your visit to Airlie."

"We arrived 4.50pm was raining heavily and wanted to have a drink and wait until 5 to order dinner they wouldn't let us upstairs until 5 we were the only ones there, Ordered the beef eye fillet with red wine Jus it was nice! it...was accompanied with mash potato, broccolini and a couple of beans would have been nice to have a couple of baked baby carrots . I just needed a little more. Im not a big eater. Service was friendly enough they were polite. We only went here once."

"All the reviews stated there is good food are either from people who haven 't stepped outside McDonald 's or have never experienced quality food, all the bad food reviews are extremely accurate. Food was substandard, the worst steak dinner I have ever had in a restaurant! Med rare eye filet was hard dry and flavourless salade was the same as was the garlic cream sauce I don 't believe the eye filet was eye filet) the staff appear to be abandoned teenagers who huff and puff around the bar looking annoyed if asked for a drink. I asked for a carb free beer on arrival when the girl in the bar just stared at me and said no I then asked for a bottle of Wirra Wirra Shiraz which is one of four available on the menu, she looked for about 2seconds and said we 're all out she didn 't give me a suggestion as to something similar or offer me a wine list I had to go back to my table look for another Shiraz I 'm sure there was plenty of it there somewhere it was just too much work to ask anyone where) After I handed back my substandard steak to which the manager apologised for and refunded the $54 I then asked for the same Shiraz I got earlier and they told me I got the last bottle without checking stock yet again. Would not recommend it at all stay clear don 't waste valuable holiday time, head into town same views. Attitude from the staff is exactly what I 'd expect from a bunch of teens left to run such an establishment."

"We had a wonderful night at the Village Cafe. The setting was lovely with the sparkly lights so right away we were optimistic upon arrival. We were greeted by our waitress for the night, Riena, who proved to be great; she was professional not even needing notes for our order and getting everything perfect; being attentive but giving us space to enjoy a quiet night together and friendly. She did a really good job and added to our night. The food was wonderful. My husband had a hot rock meal where he cooked his seafood platter on the hot stone at the table; the seafood was perfect! Calamari just melted in your mouth and no sauce was needed at all; delight. I ordered two tapas meals and the flavours were delicious. Serving sizes for tapas were just right. Having discovered the Village Cafe Restaurant and Bar, we'll surely be back and hoping to see Riena again. Many thanks, Riena, you added to our night."
