"Earlier in the day we were walking down a side street a few blocks from the Malecon on the way to visit the church and saw this place....it was closed at the time but looking in the windows, the decor captivated us and we learned it would be open for dinner so we made the plan to return....we all are sooo happy we did! The feel of the restaurant is as if you had stepped off a side street in Paris into a cozy full service bistro. As we were just there in low season, I could imagine this is a reservation only place during the high season based on our last trip to PV a few months ago. The mussels with a white wine and cream sauce was delicious and shared as was the steak with tar tar....for mains we enjoyed the croquet ...small but very filling.., steak special of the evening with a pepper sauce cooked to perfection, chicken (french name...sorry...you will figure it out)...fall of the bone delicious meat in a sauce that had us ordering a side of bread to assure we got every drop! and for dessert we shared an order of puff pastries filled with ice cream and covered with chocolate....oh so wonderful. The staff efficient and friendly...when we return in January, we will return without a doubt!"

"My spouse and I have decided new places in PV. There are so many good eateries in town. Bocon was one of this places. The ambiance is cute and cozy. The wait staff friendly but the food was mediocre at best. The pasta lacked flavor...and the sauces were subpar. We left wanting more. I doubt we’d return to this place."

"Excellent food, service and ambiance. This now ranks as the best pizza and the best steak I have had in Vallarta! There were four of us in my party and this was our first time so we split the New York Strip (nightly special), the three countries pizza, the fresh gnocchi w/pesto, grilled Caesar and Florios salad as well. The drink special involved a mix of mezcal and tamarind and was delicious. I will absolutely be back and encourage you to go as well."

"Located on the top floor of the hotel, the entire restaurant is open-air, with nice views and comfortable seating. Service staff friendly and helpful with menu explanations. We we enjoyed the beef tenderloin & shrimp special and finished with the "chocolate lava cake & ice cream" dessert. Full bar and nice atmosphere. Large menu. Enjoy !!"

"When in a different country (from my home USA), I try to eat the local cuisine. So when we recently visited Puerto Vallarta again, we ignored every restaurant except what appeared to be authentic Mexican places. But one night we just had a taste for Italian food. In our Romantic Zone neighborhood just off Olas Altas we found a little place that looks like nothing at all---Pasta Fresca. But the facade is a deception. Once inside, we could tell it was spotless, nice decor, good fragrance from kitchen, a nice bar area in the corner, and about 10 tables. The real surprise came when we talked with the owner and head waiter, Ruben. He went through the menu in a meticulous way, telling us about all the fresh ingredients that go into the dishes. It was so good, we went back a second time before we returned home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The spaghetti pomodoro is simple, very fresh, and delish. I had the Pesce of the Day, fresh salmon, and it was fantastic, both times. Very nice ambiance, very clean, friendly staff, great food. Reasonable price too. Fine dining experience, but not expensive."
