"Came here at 11:00am with a friend and his kid. We went inside but decided to sit outside. We told the staff but they never came outside. Eventually I went in to place the order. Had 1 salad, 1 French toastie, 2 milkshakes and 1 plain croissant. The total was $40.70. The portions were decent. If you're in the area it's a simple cafe to talk and catch-up. I would deliberately travel to this place."

"Pulp friction is tucked away in one of the arcades in Collins street, opposite Coogans. I'd never been there before so I ordered the $10 vege lunch box which came with hummus with corn chips, lemon pesto rice, quinoa and chickpea salad, pickled vege and green apple slaw which, which was a great dish to have as a taste tester of a few little bits for a first visit. Super filling due to the generous serve. Food was super fresh and look very appealing. Also had a date and cacao bliss ball and I could've eaten a handful of them, they were yummy. Will definitely be back to try more of their dishes during my lunch break. What a hidden gem!"

"Had seen this shop many many times and dismissed it as yet another of the revolving door of small tenancies in the Woolworths car park area. So so wrong. Went in for a coffee and now am there at least twice weekly. The coffee is good but the cakes are simply outstanding. Made with passion, love and of the highest quality, it was like walking back into a cakeshop from 30 years ago. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Wonderful staff, great service and their version of the vanilla slices are to die for ...... do yourself a favour!"

"It is so good to be able to eat without stress. Hubby and I had a great feed and were able to share meals for the first time in over a year. I had the vanilla hotcakes with cooked apple and hubby had the jalapeño arrancini balls. We left with 2 takeaway quiches for breakfast but they were eaten before the day was over."

"The moment in which we went, we were greeted with a genuine warm welcome. I'm not a big coffeemaker, but it wasn't bad. the carrot cake was a generous portion and very tasty. highly recommended if they fall in the opposite and prove me wrong."
