"Aixoise de coeur, j'avais très envie de découvrir la nouvelle équipe (et bien sûr la nouvelle carte!) de ce resto dont j'aime beaucoup l'emplacement. D'ailleurs, ça a changé de nom, c'est la Brasserie du marché maintenant. Nous sommes allées déjeuner avec des amies et nous n'avons pas été déçues. Tout était très bon (aïoli pour moi, gnocchis aux palourdes pour les copines). Formule déjeuner vraiment sympa. Service très agréable. Ca donne envie d'y aller le soir où la carte semble plus élaborée. Bonne adresse. On y retournera."

"Nice lunch in a Roman setting on Cours Sextius in Aix-en-Provence. You can enjoy the scallops salad (excellent) while looking at the ruins of the Roman baths.The restaurant is away from the tourists crowds and the hot Cours Mirabeau covered with plane trees where air is scarce in the summer."

"We were looking for this restaurant and walked right past it without noticing it because the ground floor is a store filled with beautiful greeting cards and other interesting objects. We went up one floor to the restaurant and immediately smelled wonderful aromas. We each ordered the 16Euro daily special which included a tarte (light quiche), salad, dessert, and tea. My husband said his ham quiche was the best he's ever eaten (better than my home-made). The apple crumble and apple tart desserts were great too. I loved the "gratuit" olives; these were nicely seasoned.The weather was still a bit brisk while we were walking around the city so it was nice to have a warm spot inside rather than eating at one of the outdoor cafes. This restaurant is right up the street from the Place Richelme with a daily produce market. We bought some lovely jams."

"We chose the first menu as the food was the most accessible for one of our travellers, it included a lovely amuse bouches of foie gras flambe, teasers of carrot sticks that were crunchy outside and smooth inside, liquid quiche and sorbet cornichon -- a lovely juxtaposition of tastes and textures. The bettarave and mackerel entree was tasty, the Mediterranean seabass with vegetables and parmesan croutons was delicious and the braised beef and carrots was tender and full of great tastes. We finished the meal with chocolate mousse, always a favourite! Would recommend trying the higher level menus, they looked very interesting. Wine pairings were recommended well, and the staff was very attentive, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this experience."

"Nice surprise! I never planned to find myself here, but chance decided to spice up my culinary choices. Of course, it's a little expensive, but honestly, it's worth a detour. My day wasn't at all planned to finish in front of these delights, but what a happy coincidence! I savored every bite, and now I intend to make this place a regular stopover. However, let's be honest, the service seems to play cash with efficiency, and the organization may not be their strong point. The deadlines are a little long, and the impression of order is not really at the rendezvous. But well, we can forgive them for these little misfortunes when the kitchen is up. In any case, the next time I get lost in my diet plans, I know where to land for a greedy adventure!"

"To celebrate our last evening in Aix en Provence we decided to try a Michelin rated restaurant - the Michael Faval restaurant. We both tried the four course dinner. I had the La Sardine, La Langoustine (prawns), Le Filet de Boeuf (filet mignon), Le Fromage (assortment of four cheeses), and finally the desert. Dishes were very well presented, and most importantly the combination of various ingredients / flavors made the experience very special. Service was attentive. Staff is well trained: our waitress was very informative and knowledgeable. A very special, good experience. Prices are or low."
