"We were looking for a place for a quick bite before we picked someone up at the Airport.Our GPS led us to Southside Cafe. We were disappointed to see it was not open. As it happened the owner was just walking up and invited us in, saying he could make us something. We had a nice chat and a good sandwich, before being on our way."

"I'm afraid I have to be very hard with this review for some reasons. We enjoyed some delicious salad rolls, my vegetarian and my companion with shrimps. The staff seemed to be confused by the vegetarian order and said the shrimps were ready, but the veg in a few minutes. It was NOT worth waiting! The shrimp version had ONE shrimps, cut lengths to appear to be more and the filling consisted of about 80% salad, which went off significantly when the edges were brown. When the veg salad rolls finally appeared, they contained tomato slices (not typical of a salad roll at all) and were again mostly horrible salads. The rice package began to fall apart as handled and the peanut dipping sauce was disgusting. The whole lot went into the garbage and we went to A"

"I’ve forgotten how to write a food blog! It completely slipped my mind to take a photo of the store fronts for these two food court stalls in Aberdeen. For example, the other day I had dinner at Joey’s without writing taking one photo of my food! What is happening to me! I need to eat more and blog more. Dom and I stopped at Aberdeen for a late afternoon “snack”. When it comes to Dom and I, the term “snack” is used loosely. Very loosely. I had Hae Mool Soon Doo Boo (Medium) $6.95 from Jang Mo Jib, a Korean stall near Wo Fung, the famous chicken wings stall. For photos of Jang Mo Jib, see Chow Times’ Aberdeen food court post . There’s a photo of Mambo Cafe, too, which is where Dom ordered his food! My order translates to Seafood Soft Tofu Soup. You also have the choice of Mushroom, Kimchi or Mixed. I’m emotionally allergic to mushrooms so I chose seafood, which I personally find always tastes the best in tofu soup. It was a larger serving than I expected, complete with banchan and rice"

"With Megan as our waitress, the evening was wonderful. Our table was situated at a nicely secluded section of the restaurant, allowing for a desirable intimate setting for a small group. Great bite size apps and reasonably priced mains for the quality. Would go back!"

"Great food, excellent service and good pricing. If you like banana leaf then you'll love this place. A lot cheaper and bigger portion. Don't be expecting a nice renovated location but that completely makes up for the savings. After all you are there for the good food not paying for their renovation."
