"Looked for a place that accepted dogs and this came up. Lovely pub, with excellent service and amazing food. Our wee pup was greeted with water and a snack, and was beyond delighted. The chips they serve are perfect. Can't recommend it enough!"

"This was the only best dining night we had during our visit to Edinburgh. We booked for Sunday night, so we could enjoy live jazz as well as good food and wine, and it was great. The music was wonderful and after the booked combo there was an open Mike type jam that revealed the local talent. The food was good and the glass wine list was enough to satisfy our needs. This is a bar restaurant, so if you just want to come by for a drink, you can do that too."

"Excellent service from all 3 of the team at Ishka on Saturday night. Great food the steak chicken breast dishes were excellent. As was, the personal service from Tom a good Newcastle fan so it helps ha ha Siri. I will recommend Ishka to my clients colleagues at Change Recruitment. "Dined there on our first night in Edinburgh, after long drive up we felt it would be perfect to eat there and explore more the following days. It was absolutely delightful, the food was immaculately presented, fresh, flavoursome and out if this world, It was sparsely populated with most people in there enjoying a nice cocktail and a pint of Innes and Gunn. I would highly recommend the restaurant, I had the Prix Fixe menu with haggis spring rolls. cod loin and chocolate fondant. It was all incredible. Just one word of warning, the wife had a cocktail that nearly knocked her socks off, they are potent and full of booze."

"Their customer service is seriously lacking. We stood at the 'wait here to be seated ' booth for close to 10 minutes but were pretty much ignored despite the restaurant only being about 1/4th occupied. We decided to just walk in then and seat ourselves and once we had done that still nobody acknowledged us. I finally had to get up, actually stop somebody and request them to give us menus. Two stars because burgers were nice enough. Definitely not worth menu price though, we had a voucher."

"Since writing my first review 2 years ago, Field remains my favorite restaurant in Edinburgh. Never disappointed, whether lunch or dinner, the dishes are perfectly presented, with flavors that can all be accompanied by the different options on the excellent wine list. Always made to feel welcome, food on Field is the perfect place for an excellent family meal. After having brought family members several times over the years, I can say very much that this restaurant is a must when in Edinburgh."
