"I wholeheartedly recommend the afternoon tea. I visited with a friend and we both had such a lovely time. The sandwiches, scones and excellent selection of cakes were delicious. We had a pot of tea with several offers of refills and everything was served on old fashioned plates and pretty mismatched crockery. The service was outstanding and staff were so professional and courteous and made the visit feel quite special. I couldn’t fault the visit and feel that the set menu offered very good value for the money."

"I visited the restaurant a couple of times whilst staying at the hotel and have mixed views on it. The buffet style breakfast was quite nice and I 'd say good value for money. Our evening meal however I was not overly impressed with. The appertisers we had were nice, especially that thai rice crackers. For my main I ordered the classic cheese burger and was served a ranch burger. I sent it back and was then sent a burger with just salad on. I pointed out once again that I had ordered a cheese burger but the server told me that they dont do this and it is a classic hamburger. I didn 't have a menu in front of me and thought maybe I had misread it, my other half said I must be wrong so i accepted this and just ate it. I didn 't enjoy it and would not have ordered it had I known, especially for £16! My partner ordered the pork cutlet and he enjoyed it. After our mains we asked for the menu to look at desserts and lo and behold I was right and the burger was a classic cheese burger . When our waiter came over to take the order I said how unhappy I was that I was made to feel like I was losing the plot and outright lied to. I may sound petty but when you are being charged £16 for a burger and some deep fried frozen chips already it is not acceptable. We were offered to choose a dessert each on the house for the mistakes so we ordered a dessert each. The desserts were nice and I have no complaints about them."
