"We found this restaurant when walking around looking for ideas.it is not a fancy restaurant but the food was good. It was very busy on a Saturday night and we were lucky to get a table for two. We had the lemon chicken, shrimp spring rolls and the beef with Chinese broccoli, it came with a soup of the day which was apple (tasted more like chicken broth but very good). Would suggest giving it a try if in the area."

"The Taiwanese food here was delicious. Beef noodle soup was simply humongous, the biggest bowl I’ve seen for that dish. Cash only, but takes American dollars. Quick service. Will visit again if I ever return to Vancouver. I miss their food already."

"Having not experienced Taiwanese food for a while we decided to visit Memory Corner. The appearance of the restaurant was very inviting and the serve staff very courteous and prompt. Much to our dismay however was that we discovered that the vast amount of the menu items contained lamb (which of us are allergic to). The Memory Corner would be a fantastic find for those patrons that enjoy lamb."

"We were told that Izumi-ya was a Japanese all you can eat buffet serving "home cooked" type food. As we were in the area, we went there for lunch on a Friday at about 12:30 PM. We subsequently learned that the restaurant is called Izumi-Tei Japanese Buffet that is located in the Izumi-ya Japanese Marketplace.The buffet cost $11.99 for adults, 9.99 for seniors (65+), 5.99 for kids (4 - 9) & free for 3 and under.When we were there, there were around 10 people in the restaurant. There were 3 buffet tables set up with various hot food, soups & fresh cut fruit. The hot food included amongst other things, lots of fish cakes & balls (fried & steamed), tempera (a white fish, squid, mushroom), butter clam, chicken teriyaki, beef curry, steak tofu, rice, egg rolls, gyozas, baby bok choy, miso soup and spicy egg drop soup, There was also a small selection of sushi. I latter found out that if you wanted salmon or tuna sashimi, you would have to pay extra. I think it was around $6.00 more per person, but didn't ask if there was a limit at that price. Too finish off your lunch, there is soft vanilla ice cream to be had.The food was like what you would have cooked at home. It was okay & the price was right. It appears to be a one person show, as the lady at the till was also the one checking on the buffet tables & cleaning the customers' tables. This is a cafeteria type restaurant where you help yourself like any other buffets, but you're clearing your own plates & getting your own water or tea."

"We order the chicken nuggets combo and they where really tasty, the meat was juicy and the breading was really crunchy, the mash potato was delicious as well because the gravy have more spices than kfc, they give you two dips to choose and the blackened ranch was sooo tasty!, the staff was friendly and fast!"
