"Very disappointed. The third time our order was wrong. I ordered chicken kebab with chips on the side without onion and salad and it comes both the same...just chips and chicken.I paid for and portion.The staff appologies and ask me if I want salad for one of it, I need to pay an extra just ridiculous. I will never return again"

"Called in on Sunday on way to Oxford. Asked at if had table for Told big order in, could take order in about minutes. Finally got food at If it had not been a special trip taking daughter back to college would have made a fuss and left. Terrible experience and not even offered a free drink or bread basket. Never again."

"I have the afternoon for my aunt and mother for her 80. Birthday booked, they both enjoyed themselves and said the staff and the food were nice. While they ate my sister and I had lunch, the staff were nice, but the sandwiches were a great disappointment, especially the cheese, as if it had been eaten there all morning! There was not much for £12.50 either! Tea and coffee were beautiful and the hotel seems nice, although it was 't as 'posh' as I thought it would be, seemed tired. The staff took care of us and it is handy dog friendly"

"Avoid. Was really disappointed with this place. Me and my wife came here for a little break away from the kids for 24 hours together. Was going really well until dinner when we was charging £110 pounds for one course. I was told because we didn’t want two courses we was charged more, how is that possible?. The actual food we ordered came to £40 and was charged £70 for miscellaneous food which I’m yet to receive. What’s happened here is we were ripped off."

"Fantastic Food and atmosphere. Sit outside next to the river and watch the boats travel through the lock. I had the steak and ale pie (like Shepard pie) and it was fantastic. I ordered a side salad as well with house dressing. The salad was made of fresh spring mix, tomatoes, cucumber and onion. House dressing was very good. Plenty of beer on tap. Certainly a hidden gem."
