"This has been an excellent local fare restaurant for years and sadly, after our lunch, we were informed that they will be closing permanently at the end of this season. Thanks for many years of excellence and good luck in your future endeavors. If they involve a restaurant in Atlantic Canada, let us know! Service was always friendly and capable, food was fantastic. This final season the lunch menu seemed to be a bit more limited and perhaps a bit pricier than the past, but all in all well done!"

"My wife and I visited Sutherlands Restaurant on the Stanley Bridge Resort site at the end of August. The menu was limited as others have commented, but the food was good. However, I was disturbed by the lack of knowledge about the drink I had, a simple rum coke. The waitress was very attentive, although a little addicted to the word perfect! , and she specifically asked how my wife and I liked our drinks. I answered to be honest, it's a bit shy on rum and flat on the coke. She asked the coke was flat? I'll check it out. The rum was quite shy, I doubt that there was more than half an ounce, and the coke was very flat, no bubble for it. I drank about half of the low glass and left the rest. I didn't talk about this, but she asked. But instead of asking any service movement whether it could refresh the drink or withdraw it from our bill, the drink was never mentioned again, despite which I 'll check for it comment. I guess she checked it, and sure it was shy and flat. End of matter. It was on the bill, and we turned out (never return)."

"The food was delicious! The room is very small, not a place for quiet/intimate meal, but a great place no less. The chicken club was very tasty, the meat was very tender and juicy, and the side riser was perfect. Service was very fast and very friendly. We will definitely come back!"

"This local bakery has both excellent breads as well as lovely desserts. We also love some of there refrigerated goods. Some of the best potato salad and great fish cakes."

"I came from Montreal and visit this place 6 years ago and fell in love Now I moved to Pei I make sure to go as many times as possible. This is a great family own restaurant.The food is delicious. Nothing fried.Made with local ingredients. THERE IS NO GLUTEN OPTION AND THE FOOD IS AMAZING. The food is so comforting and delicious . You can enjoy and relax by seeing the sight.Looking everywhere in the restaurant.There is craft hanging in the windows and a cute boutique were you can buy preserves ,tea in leaves and souvenirs. You can have a tea cup reading to add fun to your visit certain days. The owner always welcome you with a smile even if they work extremely hard. If you dont stop, you are missing something. You need time to enjoy your experience"

"This restaurant is fantastic! The menu was outstanding and the gluten free selections were the best ever. The owner/staff were very friendly and helpful and catered to all of our needs. My advice is to take a side trip and head there for your lunch."
