"First time visit after promising myself for ages... Called in with my boss, we're both chefs at a busy venue in Sutton Coldfield.. I live very locally and have walked past this place so many times, always noticing how busy it is and certainly spot the queues at the weekends... Didn't order food, just came in for a quick coffee, didn't get a private table but sat on stools near the counter... Service was good and prompt, two coffees were served politely and swiftly, both excellent Although we weren't eating, my boss was looking at food as it came out for service and remarked on the quality and presentation, I'm assured it was excellent. The reason for the review?? It's something no venue can buy... The atmosphere!! Beautiful decor, friendly staff, every table seated with satisfied guests. Not too noisy but the level of bearable conversation throughout gave off a really nice vibe. Simple as that really... Any place can have all the bells and whistles and the finest teas, coffees and ingredients that money can buy but without atmosphere, it's all for nothing. As a resident of Sutton Coldfield and indeed Wylde Green it's great to see a place like this being supported and thriving, showing the corporates how it should be done... Excellent."

"Popped in with eldest for a spot of lunch. Excellent portion size and food quality. We had an omelette and salad with a veggie sausage toastie and fries. Food was hot, delicious and salad was very fresh."

"My brother in law booked us an afternoon tea for 4. Theres were no issues when we requested that all food was halal/vegetarian. We were each asked what flavour/type of tea we would like and sat at a “reserved” table. The tea came in individual pots which had approx 2 cups of tea in. The tea was served before the food so I was already half way through my 2nd cup when the food arrived and as there was no refills included, we found ourselves needing to ask for water. For the Afternoon Tea They served us a selection of sandwiches; salmon cream cheese, egg mayo, cucumber cream cheese, halal chicken sun dried tomatoes. All the sandwiches were nice and enjoyable except the chicken sun dried tomato i felt there was too much tomato and the chicken was a little dry. The scones were served with a selection of clotted cream, butter and strawberry jam (plenty of each). We each had a plain scone and a dried fruit scone. The scones were lovely, not dry at all, just a tad on the sweet side for me but otherwise delicious! For dessert we were given: strawberry mouse, chocolate mousse, blueberry, lemon custard tart, a raspberry chocolate tart and 2 macarons. I’m not a huge fan of macarons but my sister enjoyed them. The rest of the desserts were really tasty with just one criticism. The pastry on the tart shells was too soft for my liking, I would have preferred a nice robust short crust pastry. Overall an enjoyable Afternoon Tea with plenty of food to keep you full for a while!! There is also whole selection of delicious looking cakes, pastries and gelato to try!"
